PDCC 162 } Jenni Bowlin

Hello everyone, today is the day to share the new color challenge at The Play Date Cafe!  Super fun colors to create with this week.

The wonderful sponsor this week who shared some super cool stamps with us is Jenni Bowlin.

For my take on this challenge I created a tag.  The inks I used on the tag are Distress Ink from Ranger (shaded lilac & peacock feathers)  I stained the ribbon with Ranger Distress stain (peacock feathers), misted the tag with a little perfect pearls mist (heirloom gold) inked the edges of the tag with distress ink and added a little gold embossing poweder around the outside.  The Jenni Bowlin stamps I used were Important Fill In & Typewriter.  I stamed the Fill In stamp as a background using sepia archival ink & the typewriter was stamped using archival black ink. I used Juniper acrylic paint and used the lid of the dobber and stamped a couple of circles on the tag.

Thanks for stopping by today, hop on over to The Play Date Cafe and check out what all of the DT has created.

Holiday Ornament Time } Xyron & Teresa Collins

Hello everyone!!  Well it's the busy crazy time of year.  Let's see how i'm doing with getting things done for the holidays....cards (not handmade I bought them and they are still in the box ), baking (not so much), decorating (we did get the tree up), and gifts....all bought ( I wrapped one and put it under the tree, left the house for 5 minutes to find the puppy wanted to know what was in it and started chewing the box and paper so I haven't wrapped anything else :)

That being said I did manage to rock out this super fabulous ornament.   I love all of the metal stars and when I came across this it was begging to be altered!

I used Teresa Collins Chrsitmas Cottage for the paper line, cut all the pieces and ran them through my Xyron 510....this made it super easy.  I tied a couple of jingle bells at the top and hung it up right away.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Xyron/Faber Castell/ Creative Imaginations } Teaming Up

Hey there, today i'm sharing a couple of projects that were created with Xyron, Faber Castell & Creative Imaginations products.

Up first is a little canvas piece that I altered.  Just a cute little something to hang for the upcoming Holiday.  I have had this piece of canvas just laying around for so long and it was time to put it to use.  I used a green Faber Castell gelato here and there on the canvas then blended it with my finger, I also mister a little water on it and blended it some more. Using the deep scarlet artist pen I outlined the stitching around the canvas for a little bit of pop.  I took a Christmas stamp set that I had, colored the stamp with the Faber Castell green big brush and stamped the image.  I also outlined the holy berries in the upper right with green and colored the berries in with red artist pen.  The Creative Imaginations (jolly) sticker I ran through my Xyron 150 to give it a little extra adhesive to make sure it would not come off of my canvas.

A close up of the canvas.

Supplies used:
Xyron 150
Faber Castell - Green gelato, red and green artist pen, green big brush.
Creative Imaginations: Christmas Sticker

Up next is a Holiday card.  I took this fabulous snowflake paper from Creative Imaginations cut it to size.  I took a blue gelato and colored over the paper, love how the resist paper works with the gelatos.  Simply wipe off the gelato and you have a wonderful snowflake card.  I added a little bling from Creative Imaginations in the center of the snowflakes and put it all together with my Xyron Mega Runner.

Supplies Used:
Xyron - Mega Runner
Faber Castell - blue gelato
Creative Imaginations - Bling, snowflake paper

Last but not least is a quick gift tag idea.  I have tons of tags around the house, so I created my own gift tag.  I started by coloring the green Faber Castell gelato all over the tag, then actually wiped it off with a baby wipe to see how it would blend.  For the ornaments along the side I used my Xyron Design Runner with the Festive disc, then colored bits of the ornaments in with a red Faber Castell artist pen.  I placed some of the Christmas stickers from Creative Imaginations along the side, placed some ribbon and the tag is now ready to go.

Supplies used:
Xyron - Design Runner & Festive disc
Faber Castell - green gelato, red artist pen
Creative Imaginations - Christmas stickers

Thanks so much to Faber Castell and Creative Imaginations for sharing some of your goodies with us at Xyron.

Teresa Collins & Xyron Team Up

Good morning everyone, today i'm going to share a couple of projects with you.  Two of my favorite teams teamed up this week Xyron & Teresa Collins, and let me tell you there have been some AMAZING projects from both teams!  I have to projects to share with you today.  Yesterday was my day to post on the Teresa Collins Design team blog so we will start with that project.

SORRY...the photos of this album have been removed do to publication! (updated 10-13)
I love mini albums and i'm always working on one at any given time.  I created this album to fill with photos of this past year of things my daughter has done.  The inside of this album is 11 pages (folded in half) making it 22 pages to decorate and fill.  Tell Your Story is such a pretty line and the embellies totally rock making it fun to decorate.  The two covers are chipboard covered with the pattern paper.  I ran the paper through the Xyron Creatopia making this a breeze to adhere.

A little close up photo for you to see the fun embellies better.

My project that I created for Xyron's blog post which is up today I used the Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage line.  I simply love this line, totally one of my favorite Christmas lines.

I altered a mason jar for this one.  I started by painting the bottom of the jar with Ranger snow cap paint, and the top part was Ranger Jenni Bowlin Stick Candy paint.  Once the jar was dry it was time to decorate.  I cut a piece of paper, ran it through my Xyron 510 and placed it on the front of the jar. I love the washi tape with this line so I placed a strip of that around the jar.  Next using my Creatopia with the Shapez insert I cut the ornament using the Sizzix Carved Ornament #2 and popped that on the front of the jar.  Tied some ribbon around the top of the jar with one of Teresa's star, added a brad and chipboard sticker and it was finished.  You can place a battery tealight inside to give it a fun glow.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have enjoyed this week's inspiration on both the Teresa Collins Design Team blog and Xyron's Design Team blog.

A Family Challenge} The Studio Challenges

Good morning everyone, i'm super excited to share a creation for fellow Teresa Collins design team member Amanda Jones for her site The Studio Challenge.

You can check out the challenge at Amanda's site HERE.

So for my family challenge I created an altered photo holder.  I LOVE the Vintage Finds line from Teresa Collins so that is the line I picked for my project. I used my fabulous Xyron 510 machine making the paper super easy to adhere to my wooden blocks.  Here is the project I came up with.

The top block of the project with the blessed bingo card is perfect to simply slip family photos in and out of making this a great way to display and family photos that you want.

Here are a couple of close up photos.  On the bottom block I used some of the Vintage Finds embellishments (ribbon, button, chipboard pieces)

Here is the close up of the top block. On the top block I used the washi tape, brad, and flowers.

I added some Prima swirls around both of the wooden blocks.  I of course inked everything, even the blocks, with distress ink (vintage photo).

Thanks so much to Amanda for having me hang out with you for this challenge.  Hope on over to The Studio Challenge and check out the inspiration for this week's challenge and don't forget to enter your take on the challenge.

Xyron & GlobeCraft Memories

Hey there everyone, this week Xyron and GlobeCraft Memories are teaming up to bring you lots of inspiration.

For my project since Halloween is just around the corner, I altered one of the Fancy Frames to hang as a home decor piece.

I love the layers around the ovals, this allows you to place several different pattern papers.

You can do the same layer effect across the top of the frame as well, then simply pop up and embellies you have.

This project was super easy to do.  I ran the pattern paper through my Xyron 510 and then simply placed them onto the frames.  Once that was done I did a little file action so that all the pieces were smooth, ran them back through my 510 and put it all together.

Thanks to GlobeCraft Memories for sharing you fabulous products with us at Xyron.
