Altered Candle

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping.  I'm sharing one of my projects for Petaloo with you today.    As i'm thinking of taking down my Christmas decorations and getting back out all of the old decor that I had on my shelf....I saw this big brown candle just sitting there looking very plain now.  I always feel that the house looks so empty after putting away all of the Holiday decor.
I thought to myself....new year, new decor and an instant project was in the works!!!  I took this plain tall brown candle that I had, added some burlap and Petaloo goodies and I love the way it looks!  So after you put all of your Holiday decorations away and you are bringing back out the old plain stuff again....just grab your Petaloo goodies, a glue gun and get to work!
Here is my finished altered candle.

Petaloo new year3

I first placed a thick burlap ribbon around the candle, then placed the flowers down before I glued them to the candle to make sure I liked the way they were arranged.

Petaloo new year1

I took apart a couple of the Sugared Berry Clusters and placed them inbetween some of the flowers after they had been glued down.

Tis' the season } Die-namite last minute gift idea

Hey there everyone,  I wanted to share my latest project for Die-namites with you today.  This week we are focusing on last minute gifts over on the Die-namites blog!!  I created this last minute treat gift as a fun little way to give those Holiday treats to your co-workers.  I'm always looking for fun ways to give holiday treats to people other than on a platter.  I came across these cute SRM boxes and began decorating them.  I filled them with Christmas M&M's.

I love how this Bird Wreath looks when it's cut out so I used that die for this project.

I cut a strip of pattern paper and placed that across the bottom part of the box both on the front and back side.  I used one of the tags from the paper collection.  I popped up the sentiment on the tag and tied it on the handle of the box with some May Arts ribbon.

I grabbed the Bird Wreath die and cut the pattern paper out with it.  put just a little adhesive on the left side of the wreath and adhered it to the back side of the sentiment, by only adhering the one side it allowed me to wrap it around the sentiment to highlight the tis' the season.

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Bird Wreath
Simple Stories - DIY collection
SRM - box
May Arts - Ribbon
M&M's

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope this gives you a cute and easy last minute gift idea for your co-workers.

Beautiful Ornament Fun

Hello everyone, sharing a project with you today that I created for the  Die-namites. blog.   I am using one of the Tim Holtz portfolios to make a little Christmas mini for myself this year.  On this mini album I wanted to use the Beautiful Ornament die.  I LOVE this die so much.  The ornament is so elegant looking when it is cut out.

So after I placed the pattern paper on my mini it was time to grab the ornament die.  I cut this out of cardstock rather then pattern paper this time around.  I ran the ornament through my Xyron machine to place adhesive all over it.  I pulled the ornament off of the sheet, turned it sticky side up, then sprinkled Festive Berries Distress Glitter on it (I don't usually use glitter but wanted to try it....I have glitter in my hair still)!!!  I actually cut the top of the ornament off (the branch part) and used some greenery instead for the top part.

Here is a close up of the ornament....the glitter makes it look so beautiful!!

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Beautiful Ornament
Ranger - Walnut stain distress ink, Festive Berries distress glitter

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, have a fabulous day!

Christmas Card Holder

Hello everyone, today i'm sharing my 10 Days Of Christmas project with you that I created for Petaloo.  I simply adore Graphic 45 papers and Petaloo flowers together....it's simply the PERFECT holiday match!!  So i'm sitting thinking what am I going to make?  I'm looking around my craft room and I see this gift box, plain just sitting on the self saying pick me!  After I stare at it for awhile I knew what I was going to use it for.  I'm going to display it on the table and place our Christmas cards in it that we get in the mail.  The size of the box is 8" x 8" so it's plenty big enough.
Ok so lets start with the finished project then a few close ups.  I used the red paper for the sides of the box and the top of the lid, and the green paper to imitate ribbon tied around the gift.

Petaloo G45 Dec1

I grabbed myPetaloo goodies and started placing them on the lid.  I didn't glue them down until I was happy with the way the looked.  I actually took a photo with my phone once I had them the way I wanted so that when I glued them down I remembered where I wanted them.
You can see in the next photo that I placed one of the die cuts upand put the flowers and berry clusters around them.  Once I glued the clusters down and they dried I spread them apart.

Petaloo g45 dec2

Can I just say I wish it was Christmas all year so I could always leave this out!!!

Petaloo g45 dec4

Some of the leaves I only glued the end down so I could bend the leaves so that they didn't lay flat.

Happy Holidays Treat Box

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  Xyron has lots of Holiday projects for you.....30 days!!! Make sure you stop by the Xyron facebook page to get a link everyday for the Holiday project of the day!

Candy treat boxes are such a fun and cute thing to give around the Holiday season.....I mean who doesn't love candy???  That is the project i'm sharing with you today.  Lets start with the finished project, then I will share with you how I made them.

Gather all of your supplies...I used Xyron Mega Runner, foam squares & 510 Create A Sticker SRM boxes, Simple Stories paper, Tim Holtz goodies, May Arts ribbon, and of course M&M's.

Cut your pattern paper about 1/4" smaller then the box you are using.  Ink your edges before you place the adhesive on the back.

Run your pattern paper through the Xyron 5" Create A Sticker Max.

Center the paper on the box.

I added a small strip of pattern paper around the box toward the bottom.  For this I simply ran the paper through my Xyron 1.5" Create A Sticker.

Now the fun part....adding tags and charms.  I inked the tag and used the Xyron Mega Runner for the sentiment.  The heart I popped up with a foam square from the Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit.

I tied the May Arts ribbon in a bow around the box, then added the tag using some of my Tim Holtz goodies in my stash.

Here is the view of the front of the box under the tag.

I created two boxes of candy and here is the other one.

Supplies Used:
Xyron - 1.5" Create A Sticker, Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit, 5" Create A Sticker Max
SRM - Clear Boxes
May Arts - Green ribbon
Simple Stories - DIY Christmas
Idea-ology - Tim Holtz (charms, flashcards)
Ranger - Distress Ink (walnut stain)
M&M's

Thanks so much for stopping by today, Happy Thanksgiving!!

2014 Christmas Mini } Die-namites & Viva Las Vegas Stamps

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I'm sharing my project created for the Die-namites & VivaLasVegasStamps blog hop.

I love the amazing stamps that Viva sent me, and the vintage looking numbers were perfect to add to the cover of my little mini album.  For my die of choice I used the Snowy Sprig die.

So I created a mini album for this project today using Graphic45 Twas The Night Before Christmas collection.

The Snowy Sprig die I cut apart and layered the pieces on top of each other.  I stamped the numbers using Ranger Archival Ink (vermillion) and then cut them out.  I popped them up using foam squares over the Snowy Sprig.  It made the perfect addition to the cover of my Christmas mini album.

Dash Away

Hello everyone, today i'm sharing a Christmas card that I created today for my post over on the Die-namites blog.   Since Christmas will be here before we know it, I started slowly working on my cards....hopefully I won't have to buy boxed cards this year!!

I just got this super cool die in the mail and knew that I had to break it out and use it.  The detail on this one is AMAZING!!!!  This die it called Beuatiful Ornament and you can grab it HERE online!

So for my Christmas card I used the new line from Graphic 45 Twas The Night Before Christmas, which was the perfect fit for this ornament.  I cut 2 ornaments out.  One in green for the top and the other in the red for the ornament itself.  I also popped this up off the card to make it stand out a little more.

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Beautiful Ornament
May Arts - Green ribbon
Xyron - Mega Runner & foam squares

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, hope this inspires you to start or finish your Christmas cards.

Holiday Tag Fun

Hello everyone thanks for stopping by today.  I'm sharing a fun Christmas tag with you today that is up over on the amazing Die-namites blog today.  Tags give any project the extra touch.  You can add them to layouts, or simply tie them on gift bags.  With the Holiday season coming up soon, I made a Christmas tag perfect to tie onto any gift bag as an extra little bonus gift.

The Die-namites die that I used on this tag is the Floral Corner die.

I cut the pattern paper rather than cardstock for this one.  I thought it need a touch of a green floral something up the left side and around the popped up stamp.

It maybe a little hard to see, but I did lightly ink the die cut using a walnut stain distress ink.

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Floral Corner
Graphic 45 - "Twas The Night Before Christmas

The album itself is a Basically Bare album that I had in my stash.  I cut the pattern paper 1/4" smaller, then inked it with Ranger Distress Ink (walnut stain) and adhered it to the front with my Xyron Mega Runner.  I took the Petaloo goodies and placed them all along the left side of the album.  Once I was happy with how it looked I placed them down on the cover with my Xyron liquid glue. I used Petaloo Darjeeling Leaves Small, Darjeeling Mini Mix, Darjeeling Hydrangea, and Darjeeling Medium Mix.  I tied some of the Crochet Lace Trim around the album to have it hang around the side of the album.

There is plenty of room to place photos inside of the mini album as well as space to write about why you are thankful this Holiday season.

Hostess Thank You Set

Hey there everyone, Thanks for stopping by today.  I'm sharing a fun little Thank You set that I created with this months Clear Scraps Creating Made Easy kit. This months kit is perfect for any fall project that you still need to create!!  You can see all the cool stuff in the kit here.

I'm going to share a great way to tell your Thanksgiving hostess thank you for a fabulous dinner!  Our Thanksgiving dinner last year was spent at my sister in laws house. This was her first time hosting dinner.....(we didn't get to eat because umm....well the turkey was not done on time, only about 6 hours late)!!!  This year she says it will be done on time and that last year was her trial dinner.
I thought it maybe nice to bring her a little thank you gift for all of her hard work this year.  I took one of the bags from the kit and altered it for a perfect little gift bag.  I also used the acrylic card from the kit and made her a Thank You card as well.  I love the added burlap across the front of the card.

I think it's the perfect little way to say thanks for a fabulous family dinner.  Don't forget to stop by and check out the kit and grab yours today!

Fall Family Mini

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I'm sharing a cute little mini album perfect for those Fall photos or photos for you upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday Dinner.

I love this super cute line from Simple Stories so that is the line that I created this album with.  I used the pattern paper itself as the base instead of adhering it to any chipboard.  I cut the album to 6" x 8" and then used my We R Memory Keepers Cinch machine to do the binding.

Fall petaloo mini1

The "Family" image on the front was cut apart from one of the sheets of paper and I also cut apart some of the saying from the same sheet.  I used my Xyron foam squares to pop all of those up.  The Petaloo Burlap Mixed Texture Layers (Amber) and the amazing Cluster Berriers add the perfect touch to the cover. I used the liquid glue from Xyron to adhere my flowers to the cover.

Fall petaloo mini2

On the black coil binding I tied some May Arts ribbon (brown) to give the coil a little extra something also.

Fall petaloo mini3

Now my Thanksgiving mini album is ready to go....just insert photos!!!
Supplies Used:
Petaloo - Berry Clusters, Mixed Texture layers (amber)
Simple Stories - Sweater Weather
Xyron - Foam suqares & liquid glue

Trick Or Treat Bag of Candy

Hey there everyone, Stacy here with you today on the Petaloo blog.  Thanks for stoppng by for the Petaloo, Xyron, and Core'dinations blog hop all week!!  Make sure you check back all week for the amazing projects by the team, and for a chance to win some goodies.
For my project today I altered a fun tag to tie onto the treat bag of candy for the grandkids!! I used a burlap bag for this.  Next I used the Core'dinations Shattered cardstock to create the base of the tag.  Then the fun part of decorating it was next!!

Petaloo core xyron1

So for the pattern paper on the tag I used Jillibean Owloween collection and the Xyron Mega Runner to adhere it to the Core'dinations cardstock.  I embellished around the image with the Petaloo Botanica Minis (pistachio).  I adhered the flowers to the tag using Xyron 3/16 adhesive dots.

Petaloo core xyron2

The Trick Or Treat saying was created using the Xyron Design Runner with the Festive Greetings disc.  I printed that onto a piece of Naturals Core'dinations cardstock and sanded the edges with the Sand It tool.  I popped that up with a Xyron foam square from the Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit.
Supplies Used:
Petaloo - Botanica Minis (pistachio)
Xyron - Design Runner, Festive Disc, Mega Runner, 3/16 Adhesive dots, foam squares
Core'dinations - Shattered & Naturals cardstock

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by my blog today.  This week 3 amazing companies have teamed up for a super cool blog hop.  Xyron, Petaloo and Core'dinations!!!!  Make sure you stop by all of the blogs and see the beautiful creations and see what prizes are up for grabs all week long!!

I created a tag for this project.  I used the Core'dinations Neutrals to cut the tag shape, then ran it through my Sizzix Vagabond with the Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder.  Next I used the Core'dinations Sand It tool then inked with Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Next was the fun part...decorating the tag.

I first stained some seam binding and tied that around the tag, added a little burlap ribbon to the top and the side of the tag.  Next I used my Xyron 3/16 adhesive dots to place the leaves from the Petaloo Botanica Blooms pack onto the tag.  Using the liquid glue from the Xyron Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit I the placed my Botanica Blooms (teal) flowers down.  I cut a smaller piece of Core'dinations Neutrals, sanded the edges and placed the sentiment on it.  I popped that up using the foam squares from Xyron.

Supplies Used:

Die-namite Fun

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I'm sharing a fun little card that I created for one of my projects for Die-namites blog this month.  I love this cute paper collection from Graphic 45 and the Pear Tree die really makes the tree pop on the card.

The paper that I used with the Pear Tree die was the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered Collection from Core'dinations.  I used my Xyron 3/16 dots to hold part of the tree down at the bottom, but I didn't adhere it at the top to give it the effect that the leaves were blowing!

Here is the amazing die that I used on this one.  You will see that I didn't keep the bird from the die and I actually cut the tree apart before I placed it on the card.

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Pear Tree Die
Xyron - Mega Runner , 3/16 dots
Core'dinations - Kraft-Core Shattered collection
Graphic 45 - Mother Goose

Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!
