Christmas tree album

I made this Christmas tree album for a challenge over at Ch{all}enge Masters under the altered category. http://challengemasters.ning.com/group/altered/forum/topics/december-challenge-3 Once Christmas is here I will take lots of pictures so I can complete the album. I had so much fun making this. There was alot to file. The wonderful thing was that my Basic Grey file set worked perfect for all of the little areas that I needed to file. The paper I used is My Minds Eye Colorful Christmas. I added a little stickles to the star to make it shine, and fell in love with the big ornament. Hope you enjoy! Don't forget to capture all of your Christmas moments on the camera to complete you altered Christmas book for the challenge.
Happy Holidays,
Stacy

2010!!!!!!

This is a desk top calender I made for next year. First I painted around the edges of the frame and the edges of the numbers. I used transparency sheets for the numbers. The numbers will just flip over the top. The months are held on by velcro so that it can be changed easy. The nice thing about this is at the end of next year I don't have to get a new calender!!

N-O-E-L

Here's a wall hanging I made using Eskimo Kisses line by Basic Grey. I used Basic Grey chipboard letters. All you need to do is trace the letters onto the pattern paper, mod podge it together, file the edges, ink and emblish! It makes a cute festive Holiday decoration. Snowflake Fun

This is a project I made for Posh Designs. I found these cute wooden snowflakes at the store and turned them into this hanging. I traced the snowflake onto pattern paper, then cut it out. Once this was done I used mod podge to adhere the paper to the wood. After letting this dry I filed the edges of the paper down. To give the snowflakes a little sparkle I put stickles all over them. I used the hot glue gun to connect them together, the did a little decorating. Once all is done I put some ribbon on the sides to hand it up on the wall.

Lots of little embellishments would be tooo cute in it. I found this container at the local scrapbook store. It's about the size of a quart of paint. I wrapped some paper and ribbon around the side of it. Tied some ribbon on the handle and then decorating the top of the lid with some little things. Hope you enjoy!!!

Ch{all}enge Masters Card Challenge

Here is my card for the challenge. It had to be round in shape, have blue on it and be Christmas theme. I used a Stampin Up stamp for the round part of it, then cute it out, added some stickles and a couple die cuts from the sheet in the paper pack. Check out the challenges at http://challengemasters.ning.com/
Hope to see you there!

My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge

Counting down til Christmas!

Ok.....Soon it will be time to countdown til Christmas! So I made this cool project for the Posh Designs team. I took a clear picture frame from the store. (the kind where the pic just slides in).
First I had hubby drill 4 holes in the top for the rings to go through. Next I painted the sides of the frame and the edges of the numbers. Grabbed some stuff to embelish with and got busy!
for the numbers I used acrylic paper. They are 2 inches wide by 3 inches long. I think that regular transperency paper would work also.
I did a little stamping on the frame to begin with. Staz-on ink will work well for this. After I was done stamping I just started decorating. When I was done this is what I had! A great contdown to Christmas decoration. I think I will be making one that I can use the whole year.

Blog award

Thanks to Kristen who passed this fabulous blog award to me :) My job is to pass it on to 5 people who in turn need to do the same. So here you go girls!!!!!

Time 4 a change

New hair style so of course I had to take pics. I created this layout for a challenge over at Challenge Masters. This layout had to have some journaling on it and the word "time" in the title.

Christmas Tree Ornament

Made this ornament as one of my Posh Designs projects. I took a simple paper mache ornament that cost $1. Grabbed my mod podge, some pattern paper, ribbons, buttons, and whatever else I could find and went to town. I cut the stripes of paper into 1/2 x 1/2 inche squares of paper and used the glue to adhere. Once I was all done with putting the paper on I covered the entire thing with a coat of mod podge, added some liquid pearl on the top to look like snow and let dry overnight. Then added all my embelishments and my master piece was done :) This would be a fun project to make with the kids. It was a little messy but not to bad! Now I have a fun, homemade one of a kind ornament for my tree!!!

Halloween is around the corner!!

Here is a card I made for Halloween!! It won't be long now! I used some Cosmo Cricket that I had left from last year.

Oh Boy!!!

I have the hardiest time making cards for boys!! My nephew's 4th birthday was this weekend and this is what I came up with for it. There are no flowers, and buttons, or foofoo stuff on it. I think it works!

Game Day

Here's a picture of Ariel and one of her cheer friends at the game on Saturday. What a beautiful day for a game. Edison won both 7th and 8th grade against East Moline. 7th grade blew them out of the water. 8th grade was alot closer and a longer game. One of our players had to have the paramedics called because he broke his leg. Hope he is doing well. Now he'll have a cast on his arm and leg!!! Poor kid.

These are just a couple of pics. They don't have their uniforms yet because they are outdated so they will be having a fundraiser to get them. The shirts they have on are what they have to wear to school on game day.
