Xyron Teams Up with LYB & May Arts

Good morning everyone, this week the Xyron DT has been sharing projects created using the fabulous LYB & May Arts goodies!!

For my project I created a little mini album using Little Yellow Bicycle Popooy line, and some yummy May Arts ribbon.

Here is what my finished mini album looks like.

and a little close up of the cover.

To create this mini album I started by cutting cardstock for the base to 4 1/2" x 6 1/2".  You will need to cut 4 of these.  Take your pattern paper and cut that to 4 1/4" x 6 1/4".  You need 8 pieces of pattern paper.
I love to ink everything, so if you want now is the time to ink your papers.
Once you are ready to put the adhesive on the back, run them through your adhesive machine.  I used the Creatopia for this.
Do this with all of the pages and you will have this.
Now it's time for the fun part....decorating you pages.  In the photo below I used the wooden banner piece on the right side.  The new Xyron High Tack Tape works perfectly to hold these down flat!

I placed different size photo mats through out the mini album.  The little journaling tags with this line are the perfect accent between pages and slip right onto the binder ring!
Supplies Used:
Xyron Creatopia & High Tack Double Sided Tape
May Arts: Ribbon
Little Yellow Bicycle: Poppy Collection & Embellishments
Ranger: Distress Ink

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and a huge thanks to LYB & May Arts for the goodies!

Summer Stories Tag

Good morning everyone!  Today i'm sharing a tag with you that I created for the Teresa Collins Designs Team using the latest Summer Stories line.  I really LOVE the color and design of this line, not to mention all of the embellishments that go with it.

Tags are so fun to make and there is so much you can use them for.  They are perfect to tie on any gift, add to a card or even a layout.  Here is my finished tag.

At the top of the tag you can see I used the enamel dots and chipboard stickers.  I also love all of the border strips that come with the line.  They are so fun to cut apart as use, that is where I got the little ticket from.

Toward the bottom of the tag I of course had to use that amazing decorative tape.  I embellished the bottom with the enamel dots & chipboard stickers again.  I also used one of the buttons and brads.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation, hope you have a fabulous day!

Xyron & Epiphany Crafts Team Up

Good morning everyone!!  Today i'm super excited to share with you a project created with some yummy goodies.  The fabulous peeps at Epiphany Crafts shared some of their amazing products with the Xyron DT.....so this week we are sharing our creations.

I opened the box and was super excited to see the Oval 25 punch, Bubbles & Metal Settings....total SCORE!  So I will show you what my end result is and then share a couple of close up photos for you.

To start this creation I took a Ranger Manila tag #8 and cut a piece of pattern paper to size.  I used Graphic 45 Bird Song for this one.  Once the paper was cut I adhered the pattern paper to my tag using my Xyron Mega Runner.  I then inked the edges with Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut Stain).  I also did a little fussy cutting the birds & branches out of the pattern paper and inked the edges of those as well.

So as you can see there is a little chicken wire stencil action in the background of the tag.  I did that with Wendy Vecchi embossing paste and let it dry before I placed anything else on the tag.  I stained some seam binding and tied that around the bottom of the tag.  The flowers are Petaloo flowers dipped in beeswax.  While I was letting those dry, I took that fabulous looking Epiphany Oval Metal Setting and painted it with gesso to turn it white....LOVE LOVE LOVE the way that turned out.  I had a stamp that said "dream", so I stamped that on paper, centered it in the punch and punched it out.  I ran the stamped word through my Xyron 1.5" create-a-sticker and placed it on the setting, then placed the bubble cap over it.  I popped up the images that I cut out on the tag, then adhered the flowers on the lower left side.  I used the UBER FABULOUS new tape from Xyron High Tack Tape and it made that metal setting stick with ease!

Here is a little close up of the top of the tag.  You can see the images that I cut out of the paper really well here.  I had a couple of corners in my stash that I painted with gesso and adhered them on the top corners of the tag.

Supplies Used:
Xyron Adhesive- Mega Runner, High Tack Tape & 1.5" create-a-sticker
Epiphany Crafts - Oval 25 punch, bubbles & metal settings
Graphic 45 - Bird Song paper
Ranger - Distress Ink (walnut stain), gesso, manila tag #8

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Make sure you hop on over to Beth's blog and check out what the rest of the Xyron DT will be creating all week.

4th Of July Home Decor } Bazzill Freedom

Good morning everyone,  today i'm sharing a couple of home decor projects I created for The Scrapbooking Studio.  I know it’s only early June, but what better time to get a jump on your 4th of July party planning and home decor projects.  Both stores have some uber fabulous collections for you to pick from to get ready for the upcoming Holiday, for these two projects I used the new Freedom line from Bazzill!
Up first is a project I created with a Styrofoam ball, a 14″ wooden pole & a terracotta pot.  I painted the pot with Ranger acrylic paint and let dry.  While waiting for the pot to dry I used the Sizzix Tattered  Pine Cone die to create a couple hundred mini roses :)   I know it seems like alot of flowers, but well worth the time to make them.  I placed some Bazzill ribbon around the pot when finished.  A little hot glue holds the flowers on the ball, I also placed a small Styrofoam piece in the bottom of the pot and twisted the pole into it.  I also placed hot glue on that piece of foam inside the pot to hold it upright.

Here is a close up of all of the beautiful flowers.

Up next is a fun little firecracker project that you can create using empty paper towel rolls!  Simply cute the rolls to 3 different sizes, adhere your pattern paper around the roll.  A  1  3/4″ circle punch works perfect for the top of the rolls.  Grab some twine/rope and tie a knot to create the top of the firecracker.  I used hot glue around the bottom of the rolls to adhere them to a flat round piece of Styrofoam.  For all of the curly pieces around the edge and behind the firecrackers, I simply cut strips of paper 1/2″ x 12″ and rolled them around a paintbrush (they hold the shape perfectly)!  I found a flag that I had around the house and stuck that in as well.

As for embellishing the project I used some of the fun Little Yellow Bicycle Natural Stars, and cut some stars out of the Sizzix Star Bright 3-D die and tied some Sold Midnight Blue & Solid Maraschino Twinery Twine around the entire project.

Well I hope this inspires you to get a jump on creating your 4th Of July projects!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!
