A little birdie told me...House of Three

Well it's Sunday and the weekend is almost over. I hope that you all had a fabulous one! Today i'm sharing a birthday card that I created for my grandma (which I have not mailed yet) so yes it's late!!

On this card I started with some kraft cardstock for the base, then used some yummy Pink Paislee House of Three. I inked the edges with some distress ink brushed corduroy, and did a little stitching. I also added a couple pearls, bakers twine and a Marion Smith trinket, grabbed the Xyron adhesive to put it all together and it's done! Now all I need is the postage stamp to send it!!!

Thanks for stopping, have a fabulous day!!

Always On The Move} House of Three

Hey there everyone! I can't believe I have not scrapbooked for a week! I was having some serious withdrawal, so i'm making up for it today and tomorrow! Today I created a layout with Pink Paislee House of Three Daily Junque line....(which you can grab at The Scrapbooking Studio)let me just tell you i'm loving it!!! I tried something out of the box for me on this one. I am totally a kraft cardstock girl, but I did something different for me and used pattern paper for my background sheet. I think it may happen a little more often now :) So here is my layout and a close up of the title.

Supplies used: Pink Paislee: House of Three Daily Junque line & Weathered Wood letters (blue), Xyron: adhesive & design runner with Patternz disc, October Afternoon letters (black), Sassafras letters (burlap).

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fabulous day!!

Altering with a little Teresa Collins/Xyron :)

Well I played with some Teresa Collins and my Xyron Creatopia! The first time I met Teresa was fabulous!! She is the sweetest person and so open. Long story short she was talking about when and why she started scrapbooking and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. I have said i'm going to alter a kleenex container and call it my "Teresa Collins" tissue! :) So here is a close up pic to start with.

Ok so to start I found this cool shaped kleenex holder

Next I ran the paper through my Xyron Creatopia to make sure the entire piece was covered with adhesive.

I then wrapped the paper around the container which was so easy to do thanks to my Creatopia...well then it was time to decorate. Here is what I came up with.

Supplies used: Xyron Creatopia/adhesive, Teresa Collins Posh line, Amber's Jewels & Donna's Gems, Tattered Angels mist Bubblegum & black (for the fabric flowers), and some tuelle.

Playing with the Creatopia!! :)

Hey there everyone!!! Well I had the most fabulous FedEx package yesterday....it was a Xyron Creatopia. So of course I had to jump right in and play with it today. So far i'm loving it!!! On this layout I used the Patternz Swirls. What I did was ran it through one direction (but not completely through), next I ran it back the opposite direction. Once that was done I used the Tim Holtz sanding block to make the embossed image stand out a little more.

I love this picture of Ariel and Isaac having what looks like such a sweet moment playing a game. I don't even think they knew I snapped this picture!

Supplies used: Xyron Creatopia & adhesive, Bazzill cardstock, Maya Road spool, baker's twine (yellow), Sassafras; Ellie's Tale paper, Entwined blooms, letter stickers (yellow & burlap)....all of which I picked up at The Scrapbooking Studio!!

Thanks....with a little Echo Park

Well I made this card to send to my dad to thank him for our father/daughter time we had the other day using some yummy Echo Park paper that you can grab at The Scrapbooking Studio :) You see.....my dad & stepmother's anniversary was on Valentine's Day. Being the "good" daughter I am of course I sent them a card.....HOWEVER...I bought it and did not make it! I still haven't heard the end of it so i'm hoping this makes up for it :) I guess people get use to getting the one of a kind homemade cards and when you buy one to give them....well that's a big NO NO!!! :)
Next on my list to make is hubby's anniversary card...I got the same reaction from him when he opened a store Valentine's card :)

Well I will get this sent out Monday morning and hope that it puts a smile on his face!

Supplies used: Bazzill cardstock, Echo Park Springtime line, Xyron adhesive, Prima pearls, Best Creation Inc foam pop dots, Kreaxion butterfly punch 604.

Paper Buttons!

Hey there everyone and happy Friday!!!! I'm sharing with you a card I created using some yummy new Basic Grey Life of The Party and some fun using my Xyron Design Runner. So first I gathered my paper, Xyron 150, Xyron Design Runner & Holiday Disc.

Next what I did is ran my design runner across my paper using image number 31 & 34 to make the button image on the paper.

So next I punched out the circle buttons and cut out the square ones, then ran them through my Xyron 150 and placed them on chipboard.

Next you simply just cut them out and place them on your project. I used mine on this card, that is a belated birthday card for my brother-in-law!!

Supplies used: Basic Grey Life Of The Party line, Bazzill Cardstock, Xyron adhesive & Design Runner, Best Creations Inc foam dots, Tim Holtz stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous weekend!!

Miss You

Hey there everyone, just wanted to share a card I made using some My Little Shoebox products. When I was creating this card and put that little bird on there....well it just looked like it was missing someone, so that's why it's a "Miss You" card :) The fun things about all of these lines is that you can mix and match them together which is what I did with some scraps that I had left.

I totally love the MLS mini alphas!! I think I have them in every color!!! (maybe even 2 packs of every color)....I can't help it....I have to have letter stickers!!! On this card I did alot of cutting images. MLS has such cute images I just can't help cut them out and pop them up :) Put it all together with some fabulous Xyron adhesive, added a few pearls, did a little stitching and inking and it's done!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous day!

My Creative Notebook

Good morning everyone. Today i'm going to share a fun little notebook that I altered to keep my creative notes in. I found this little book at Target in the dollar spot :) It was perfect for my project!

So first I picked the paper I wanted to use. I loved this line by Fancy Pants..It's The Little Things. I cut the paper to size, inked it up with Brushed Corduroy distress ink, then ran it through my Xyron machine to make it super easy to adhere. Next I cut some of the fun things from the paper line and just started adding them and layering! Then fun little wooden button is from Maya Road, which I misted with Tattered Angels Rum Punch mist, and loving that ledger transparencies from Maya Road also (which you can grab at The Scrapbooking Studio). I used some American Craft thickers, My Little Shoebox mini alphas (Seaside & Kiss), a fun Nikki Sivils burlap button, and some Jute twine. I also made tabs using some of the fun paper.

Well now it's time to fill this baby up!!!!! :)
Have a FAUBLOUS day!!

Saturday, March 5, 2011

Hello everyone, hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. It has been a busy one here :) I also think our spring weather is here.....rainy and cold!!! I have to say....I really love how this card turned out :):):)

I came across this Tim Holtz stamp and knew exactly what I was going to do with it!!! I did a little stitching around the background paper, some inking, cut out a couple cute things from this line, put it all together with my Xyron adhesive, popped up one of the boots, and the raincoat....and well there you have it!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope the rest of your weekend is FABULOUS!! :)

Ok so i'm loving the card sketches over at Cardabilities (as well as the sketches at Sketchabilities). I created this little card using the latest sketch that is posted. I thought this would make a cute little card to give my daughter just because I love her :)

I mixed a couple of the lines from My Little Shoebox on this one. I used Lil' Critter, Imaginary Friends and Flying High. Don't forget about those fabulous little mii alphas!!! Loving the Chocolate Cake & Seaside on this one. Did a little misting with Bahama Blue, grabbed my Xyron adhesive to put it all down.
