Bidday...Live,Laugh,Love.....Sisterhood

Well I've been busy creating lots of layouts catching up on my daughters first year of college.  I'm going to share a couple pages of A Chi O bidday from last year.

I loved hearing everything that was going on from my daughter for a couple weeks leading up to her finding out exactly who her new sisters were going to be.  Seeing all of the photos that were shared made me smile.....she now has a huge family away from home.....some very real.strong.women!!

Once it was revealed as to which house so was now a member of, off they went on a bus to meet everyone.  From the photos that were shared it had to be an amazing moment.  Laughing, hugging, happy tears and of course bonding.....and a ton of pics!!

Here a few of the girls gather sharing that amazing moment together.

a few close ups of the details.

Of course what is a homecoming without a little party and balloons.

The girls have learned how to throw what you know AXO style!

I can't wait to watch all of her new sisters grow over the next couple years, and for her to experience the life long bond they will share!!

Oh What Fun It Is 2 Be AXO

So after cleaning my craft area I was eager to get back to crafting (of course football was on in my scraproom while crafting)!!  I don't have any local stores to shop at to get the newest paper, so I went through my stash of goodies and found the perfect Christmas line for the photos I wanted to scrap.  Since I'm playing catch up on photos I of course start with Christmas!!  Digging through my stash I come across Simple Stories Cozy Christmas collection....complete with all the embellies....how did I not touch this before now?

Let's talk title.....I love the pages you can cut apart and found the perfect saying (well almost perfect) I of course had to add a sticker and some rub-ons to make it just right! The red and green in this line are pretty perfect for the Alpha Chi Omega colors of my daughter sorority.  Last year I made my daughter, her big, and great grand big ornaments......and of course I already have the ones for this year in the works!!!

Here is the finished layout.

I started by matting the photos and moving papers around to see which ones I liked best.  Ink for me is a MUST so I grabbed my Ranger Distress Ink (walnut stain) and inked the edges! I used my favorite adhesive Xyron, and the foam pop dots that I have hoarded for a while to pop up the banner and heart below.

I have to put the year on it otherwise I will forget :)

Here is another close up of my fun title work and you can see I added a few of the dots around the layout as well.

Can I just tell you it felt amazing to be creating again!!!

Supplies Used:
Simple Stories - Cozy Christmas
Xyron - Mega Runner & foam squares
Ranger - Distress Ink (walnut stain)

Thanks for stopping by and I'm looking forward to sharing many more creations yet this year!

It's been awhile!!

Wow I can't believe how long it has been since I have blogged, uploaded any projects or even scrapbooked!!  A lot has changed since my last post.  I guess the biggest thing is our daughter is starting her second year of college!!  I don't even know where the first year of college went......I have the photos to prove that it happened, but wow that was fast!  I haven't really scrapbooked since but have decided it's time to get back to it.

So off I went to my scrapbook room to start to clean and organize.  I went through all of my Petaloo stash first....I mean who doesn't love Petaloo!!!!  Looks like I have plenty to get started with.

The stamps and some things to alter area is still a work in progress!!

Well I guess i'm set for adhesive for a while!

And yes one can never have to much twine!!

So now that I have this newly cleaned space i'm really wanting to dive in and start creating......I mean I do have an entire year of college photos to get working on.  I may post some of the last projects that I created over a year ago because those have not been posted.....but i'm excited to get working on new projects.  I think it might be time to do a little online shopping since there are not any stores here locally anymore!
