Dream Journal Page } Art Anthology

Hey there everyone, Stacy here with you today to share a funky fun art journal page that I have created.  I saw this quote somewhere in my facebook travels and simply loved it, so I wrote it down and used it on this journal page.  I started simply by sraying my page with the Art Anthology Colorations Sprays.  I used 4 different colors and started out lightly then just kept spraying over and over until I got the look that I wanted.  I didnt heat set this time between layers either, I just let it air dry to see if it gave it a different look.  I do notice that by not heat setting it or using any paper towels on this page I don't have the "markings" from the paper towel roll that I end up with sometimes.  Also by not heat setting it and spraying lightly each time the corners of my journal page didn't curl as much.

Here are a couple of close ups....I did stamp images on the page then went over them with a white pen.

I did unscrew the cap and try a little splatter action as you can see in the photo below.

Basically Bare Artful Binder

Hello there everyone thanks for stopping by today.  I'm going to share my Basically Bare altered Artful Binder with you today.  My daughter just had her first prom so I don't have all of the pictures developed yet, but I now have a mini album ready to go as soon as I get them!!  I thought the Basically Bare dress from was a great embellishment for this cover also.  Lets start with the cover.
Prom cover copy
As you can see from the above photo, I tied some amazing May Arts ribbon along the side to jazz it up a little.  Here is a peak of the inside.
prom1 copy
I love to add pockets and journaling tags to my mini albums.
prom2 copy
Another fun thing to add to any mini album are fun ways to hide your photos and journaling spot in.  You can simply add any scrap of cardstock or paper and only adhere across the top and bottom which allows you to side your photos behind.
prom5 copy
You can also adhere your photo mats along the sides and bottom and put your journaling cards behind the photos.

prom7 copy
This last page I simply added stickers and left open space so that my daughter could write more about her first prom.

Birthday Box } Petaloo Fun

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I have a fun project to share with you today using lots of amazing Petaloo goodies!  Along with the wonderful Petaloo product we were sent this month Chery also sent us the super cute Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe collection.

I love to alter things, and I thought this gift box would be perfect to place a birthday gift in for someone.  I found this paper mache box at the dollar store and knew it would be the perfect way to give a gift.

I painted the edges of the box using Art Anthology Velvet Dimensional Paint (Myan Gold), once that was dry it was time to add the paper to the box.  I cut all of the pieces, inked the edges with Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut Stain), ran the pieces through my Xyron 5" Creative Station and started layering!

You can see the top of the box a little in the photo below.  The Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe came with these fun enamel dots and little straw and banner pieces.  I grabbed my Xyron liquid glue and started placing the flowers to the lid, then I placed glue around the end of the straws and stuck them in between the flowers.

Here is a better view of the top of the box!!!  I simply adore this project and don't want to give it away, it's so bright and fun!!

Supplies Used:
Petaloo - Botanica Blooms (Teal & Fuchsia), Spring Berry Clusters (Pink), Minis (Yellow), Velvet Hydrangeas (Orange)
Xyron - 5" Creative Station, liquid glue
Doodlebug - Sugar Shoppe Collection

To start with I centered cardstock and pattern paper on the card.  I did a little stitching work using my Xyron Design Runners along the outside.  From there it was a matter of just layering the ribbons and embellishments over the stamped image on the pattern paper. The amazing Botanica Collection Minis (Teal) & Velvet Hydrangeas (Orange) were the perfect fit around the bows!
Supplies Used:
Petaloo - Botanica Minis (Teal) & Velvet Hdrangeas (Orange)

This Is Life Journal Page

Hey there everyone, Stacy her today to share an art journal page that I created with a little stamping, Colorations Sprays, Velvet Dimensional Paint, remnant rubs ,stencils.....oh whatever I could find I added.  Here is what my finished art journal page looks like.
To start this page I misted it with water, then started spraying the Colorations sprays and heat setting until I was happy with the colors.  I used Grape Soda, Salted Carmel & Hottie for the base colors.
May Spring1 copy
Next I used a Dina Wakeley stencil along with the Art Anthology Velvet Dimensional paint (Tango) scattered on the page and let that dry. Once that was dry I took my white gel pen and placed little dots on the paint as you can see in the photo below.
May spring2 copy
I love the Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs and used the life quote ones on this page.  Of course I did a little doodling on the page with dots & X's.  I also used one of Tim's stencils (Arrows) with my white gel pen and black journal pen for a little bit of a different look.  When I stamped the Dyan Reaveley flowers on the page I used Black Archival Ink then when over them with a little white.  I really love how fun this one turned out by adding the remnant rubs on it!

Out On A Limb & Xyron Team Up

Hey everyone, this week the Xyron DT and Out On A Limb are teaming up to bring you some fun inspiration through a fabulous blog hop.  Make sure you check out both the Xyron Blog HERE and Out On A Limb HERE

I had some super cute diecuts to create with.  The diecuts that were sent to me were perfect for a congrats card for my daughter for making the cheerleading squad again this year.  Since football cheer is before basketball I of course used the footballs.

I used the Xyron Mega Runner to adhere everything together.  The Xyron Design Runner was perfect for the "cheer" on the front of the card.  It actually says "cheerful", but I used the star to cover up the "ful" and then added the year to the star.

Supplies Used:
Out On A Limb - Diecut footballs & star
Basic Grey - 2014 number stickers
The Twinery Twine - Yellow

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and thanks to Out On A Limb for the goodies.

Sail Adventure

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I'm going to share a fun little mini album that I altered.  The album that i'm using is the Basically Bare Krafty Keepsake Plain Jane along with the DCWV collection Hey Sailor.  To start this mini album I took out the coils, covered and decorated each page then punched the holes back through and inserted the coils.  Let's start with the cover.  There are a couple of pages within this paper pad that have journaling elements that are perfect for doing a little fussy cutting to create your own embellishments.  I added a fabulous satin bow on the coil binding using some May Arts ribbon.
DCWV Cover
Now lets take a peak inside.  Since Summer is hopefully coming soon, this album will be perfect for any beach or boating photos that we will be taking.  I have already placed the photo mats inside on the pages.  On the photo below on the right side, you can see a hidden journal tag behind the photo mat.  This is super easy to do, simply adhere only the sides and the bottom and this is the perfect place for that hidden journaling tag to slide into.
DCVW page 1-2
DCWV page 3-4
I loved placing the banner elements that I had cut out on different pages in the album.
DCWV page 5-6
DCWV page 7-8

Boatloads Of Fun } Petaloo & Authentique

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I'm sharing my project that I created with the amazing Petaloo goodies and Authentique Anchored collection.  When I opened the package and saw the flowers and that pattern paper, I knew I find to find something cool to alter.  I was walking through the store and saw this wooden unfinished boat.....yep had to have it!!!  I simply adore the way this turned out!  Let's start out with what the finished project looks like first.
Petaloo_Authentique1
I have a few photos of different views as well since there is so much to see on this one.
Petaloo_Authentique3
To start this project I painted the boat white, then took my Walnut Stain distress ink and blending tool and inked areas of the boat.  I used the Authentique Anchored collection and adhered it to the outsides and inside of the boat.  Of course since there was the little ledge in the boat when I stood it up I thought a mini album would be the perfect addition to that ledge.  On the bottom of the boat I had some netting in my stash and added that fisrt then it was time to have some Petaloo fun.  I started by placing the flowers on first.  For this I used Petaloo Darjeeling Petities (Teastaine) and Darjeeling Mini Mix (Teastaine & Dahlias).  Once I had the flowers placed I added the glass jar of sand and then placed the Petaloo Sea Shells around the jar and flowers.
Petaloo_Authentique2
Now onto the mini album.  We are taking a trip this Summer and this will be perfect for our beach photos!
Petaloo_Authentique4
The covers are created using chipboard that I covered with the Authentique Anchored collection.  The papers and stickers from this line are simply amazing!!  The binding of the album was done using the Cinch machine.
Petaloo_Authentique5
I used all of the same flowers on the mini album as I did on the boat itself.  On the binding I added the fabulous Petaloo Fancy Trims in Taupe that really sets the album off.
The inside of the album I used the pattern paper as the pages.

Beach Rules } Xyron & Paper Smooches

Hey there, thanks for stopping by today.  The Xyron DT was lucky enough to get to pick something out to create with from Paper Smooches!!  I love die cuts, so I of course picked one of the wise dies.  Since summer is right around the corner, and there are so many paper collections with a "beachy" theme I picked the fun little Anchor (A1D040).

Here is the fun little tag project I created. I traced and cut the pattern paper to fit the tag and then using the Xyron Mega Runner placed that on top of the tag.

I used one of the Graphic 45 tags and the new By The Sea collection.  Is that anchor not just the perfect accent on this tag!!!  I tied a little twine around it and popped it up on the tag using the Xyron foam squares from the Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit.  I embellished the tag by cutting out some of the great elements from this paper collection and also popped those up as well.  The Petaloo flower (  )in the upper corner was placed using Xyron 3/16 glue dots as well as the Petaloo shells along the bottom of the tag.

Supplies Used:
Xyron - Mega Runner, 3/16 glue dots, Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit
Paper Smooches - Anchor wise die (A1D040)
Graphic 45 - By The Sea
Petaloo - Darjeeling Dahilas Teastaine, Sea Shells
Ranger - Walnut Stain Distress Ink

Thanks again to Paper Smooches for sharing your amazing product with us at Xyron!
