Hey there everyone. Wow...what a busy weekend. Our grandkids birthdays were this past weekend. Marcos turned 1 and Luis turned 4!!! Can I just tell you that I really feel like a grandma today :):) I was so sore and tired from playing yesterday I took a 3 hour nap today!!! Those kids kicked my butt playing outside all day yesterday. All I wanted this morning was Biofreeze, Mortin & coffee (In that order)!!! So here is the first mini I made for Luis using Nikki Sivil's It's Your Day Line. Super fun paper to work with ladies!

A close up of the cover. I place some yummy Tim Holtz goodies on the binding.

Now for the inside of the mini. I made the fun little journaling tags using some of the Beatrice paper line as well as Max & Mollie.

Supplies used: Nikki Sivils It's Your Day line & burlap buttons, Tim Holtz goodies, Maya Road bingo number, Kaiser Craft pearls, Bazzill ribbon, Ranger Vintage Photo distress ink, The Twinery twine. I used my wonderful ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever to adhere the paper to the chipboard.

Hanging out with These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things & ScraPerfect give-a-way!!!

Hey there everyone...well i'm super excited to share one of my GDT creations for These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things. I was sooooo happy when Julie asked me to GDT. For our first task this month we were to scrap our favorite piece of art!!! Well I had just altered a picture frame and thought well I think this will work. I grabbed my camera, snapped a pic and got busy :) Since it was for my favorite things...I thought well what better to use on my layout than my favorite ScraPerfect goodies right!!!!! Here is my layout that I created.

I have to say I LOVE the Best Glue Ever! I haven't found anything that it doesn't work on yet!! On this layout I used it to adhere the wooden dress form, and the metal clock...and yes it worked like a charm. Now I had these cool paper bags that I cut into flowers for the layout. I placed just a small amount of glue on the back and set it aside for just a bit to let it get a little tacky. I then placed them on the layout in layers with no problem. The nice thing is they didn't even slide around when I placed them down! When placing the button in the center of the flower I used Embellie Gellie to hold it over the flower to make sure it was right in the center.

So you ladies are in luck today!!!! The fabulous ladies at ScraPerfect have given me one the Perfect Crafting Pouch to give away today!!! How fun is that!!! :):):) Leave a comment on this post for your chance to win! I will pick a winner on 6/17.
Hop on over to My Favorite Things blog and leave some love for their DT!

Big thanks to Julie for having me hang out with you and your crew this month, and thanks to ScraPerfect for a fun give-a-way!!

Some Nikki Sivils goodness :)

Hey there everyone...well it's been 2 crazy busy weeks around here. The last week of school my daughter had so much going on and then getting into a summer routine!!! (6 am high school cheerleading practice took some getting use to!!!) So I did manage to create a couple things over the past week. I'm sharing 2 things with you today!!

First up is a fun little altered paper mache box that is the perfect size for a gift card to go in :):) On this one I used Nikki Sivils It's Your Day line, some pink tulle, and a few kaiser craft pearls.

Next up is a little thank you card. You never know when you will need one, so this is now in my stash just waiting to be sent out!! I used Nikki's Beatrice line for this one!

I picked up all of this yummy paper at my LSS The Scrapbooking Studio! Don't forget we are helping Nikki's cause and collecting scrapbooking supplies for those in Joplin that lost everything!! Bring anything into the store and get a 40% off one product coupon, and Amy will donate a brand new paper trimmer to send along with everything. My first ScraPerfect DT project :):)

Hello everyone, i'm so excited to share my first project with you as a DT at ScraPerfect. On this project I used the fabulous Best Glue Ever and the wonderful Perfect Crafting Pouch. I have been doing more altered projects recently and this is one of them. I thought it was time for a new desktop calendar so I found this perfect 5x7 frame to alter. I used the yummy Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends paper line...totally loving it :):)

I removed the glass from the frame and placed paper on the frame itself and also on the cardboard that usually keeps the glass in place then of course inked it all up! Next I placed a Tim Holtz large ring binger in the center to turn it into a flip calendar. To make the pieces that have the dates on them I first cut some chipboard I had laying around to 3" X 3 3/4" pieces. I ran them through my Xyron Creatopia to put adhesive on it and then covered them with the paper. This made the edges a little sticky, so I of course grabbed my Crafting Pouch to take that "stickyness" away. Another option for covering the chipboard with paper is to use The Best Glue Ever. To do this you could place a small line around the piece of chipboard, then use a paintbrush to spread the glue out a little and put your paper down.

Then simply decorate you pieces, punch holes, and place on the binder ring. While decorating these pieces I must say sometimes it's hard to hold onto buttons, pearls or any type of bling. If you have this problem the Embellie Gellie works wonders!! It was super easy for my to place the buttons exactlly where I wanted them using this fabby invention!

Now how about those fun flowers are the top!! I used some Wendy Vecchi Art Parts for one. Misted is with some Tatterend Angels mist, and the leaves I used Ranger Distress stain (peeled paint). Let me tell you that The Best Glue Ever totally held all this together with no problem. I even used this glue to adhere the metal clock to the center of the flower. So not only does it work on thick chipboard, and metal....I used it to put together my flower that I made using grungeboard, which is the butterscotch flower on the upper left.

So if you love to alter things...The Best Glue Ever is a must have in your scrapbooking stash!!!! It is always in arms reach for me :) All of these fabulous goodies used to make this project you can grab The Scrapbooking Studio. Thanks for stopping by and i'm looking forward to sharing many more projects with you here.

Have a fabulous day!
