Onto the next Holiday } Jillbean & Burlap

Hey there everyone, i'm moving on to the next holiday. I wanted to create with something different today, and I thought well Valentine's Day will be here i'm sure before I know it. I created this fun little card using the Jillibean Hearty Barley, and then I tried to create a fun little flower using some burlap. I put it all together with my Xyron of course.

So I think I need a little practice on my burlap flower, but it was fun to try and create it. It gives the card a totally different look!! I grabbed some burlap at The Scrapbooking Studio....yes they now have burlap :):)

Well thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a fabulous day!

O Christmas Tree

Hey there everyone, well I think it's starting to look like Christmas here finally. We have been so busy, but last night we finally put up our tree and this morning we woke up to snow flurries!! I want to share a little Christmas tree that I have altered for my scraproom. This wooden Christmas tree came from Say It With Letters....totally loving all of the wooden shapes I have had the chance to play with from them.

So here is what the tree looked like to start with.

The first step is to lay your tree on the paper you are going to use and trace the tree. You will need to do this for both sides of the tree, then simply cut out. You will also want to do this for the base of the tree as well. I used 2 different papers for the tree and the base. The papers are from the new Style Essentials line from Echo Park. I applied The Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect with a painbrush to adhere the paper to the tree. Love the fact that this does not make my paper bubble up :)

Now for the sides of the tree, you can cut a 1/2 inch strip of paper for the edges. Simply cut the strips to the length needed and then adhere to the tree. Once you have completed this here is what your tree will look like.

Now would be the time to ink the edges if you would like before trimming the tree. Next it's time for the fun part....decorating. I used some super fun chipboard stickers on the tree and added some to the base as well. The cute chipboard stickers are also from Echo Parks Holly Jolly Christmas line.

Here are a couple of close up pictures as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope this puts you in the mood to create your own Christmas tree for your scraproom. You can find these fun chipboard stickers and this paper at The Scrapbooking Studio. Hope you have a fabulous day!

Let's Party Mini } Nikki Sivils It's Your Day

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today. So as many of you who follow my blog know I LOVE Nikki Sivils lines....so imagine my excitement when I saw the post I had been waiting all year for....her DT call!!!! (you can check out Nikki's DT call HERE) After reading through the post probably 5 times so that I didn't miss a thing I knew I had to create something new for this one. I had this project planned but had not started it yet, so I thought well there is no better time than now to start.

I created this fun mini album that is going to be a class at The Scrapbooking Studio in February to help celebrate the store being open for 2 years. I have everything pulled for the class for probably 3 weeks now :) Ok so enough babbling with excitement how about I just show you the project.

Here is the view of the cover. I created this album using different shapes from the Accu-Cut machine at the store. I love to create mini albums especially using different shapes.

After applying all the base paper to the album it was time to embellish it. I love all of the elements that you can cut and use from the It's Your Day Line. I also inked all of the edges using Ranger Distress Ink (vintage photo)

Here are the inside pages along with some photos of the fun little tags I created for all of the pockets in this album.

Supplies used: Nikki Sivils It's You Day Line, burlap buttons, corduroy brads; Ranger Distress Ink (Vintage Photo), Bazzill ribbon, Maya Road Stick Pin, Xyron Adhesive.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope you have enjoyed this fun little birthday mini album. Don't forget to stop by Nikki's Blog and get all the info you need to submit for the DT call, and good luck :)

Here is the inside of the last page. Perfect for a picture in the center, then a little journaling on the tag on the inside pocket.

US } Teresa Collins & Xyron

Good Monday morning to you all. I hope that you all had a fabulous weekend. Today i'm sharing a mini album with you created using the new Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze & lots of Xyron adhesive!!! Thanks to The Scrapbooking Studio for carrying all of these FABULOUS goodies to create this beauty!!

There a 6 pages in this album along with 2 half pocket pages. Using my Xyron Creatopia made this so much quicker to adhere the base pages down, so I could get to the fun parts of decorating :)

As you will see in the pictures, there are lots of hidden ares for journaling to go along with places to slide in photo mats. I loved making this album with all of the fun little tabs. I used the Stampin' Up punch to create the tabs, which fit perfectly in my Xyron 150 sticker maker. I know those tabs are NOT coming undone!!

Here are a few more picture of the inside of this album.

Some of the yummy embellies I used on this one are from Teresa Collins: Notations Tags, Taylor's Clips, Amber's Jewels, Brooke's Flower. From Prima I used a crystal swirl, My Mind's Eye Sunshire Forever Brads from the Lost & Found 2. Xyron Creatopia, 150 sticker maker, and the mega runner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

PDCC 106 } Birthday Tag

Hello everyone, today i'm sharing my creation for The Play Date Cafe challenge 106. The colors are so fun for this one....gray, yellow, and pink.

This weeks sponsor for the challenge is Practicing Creativity.

For this challenge I created a birthday tag. You can use it to tie on a gift bag, or simply place it on the front of a card. On the background of this tag I used the Summer line from Nikki Sivils, then stamped the banners across the paper. For all of the fun little embellies I also used another line from Nikki called It's Your Day (one of my favorite lines)!!! I placed some fun little glitter candy dots from Pebbles around the tag and also some fun little dots from Kaiser Craft. To place these dots on my tag I used the Embellie Gellie from ScraPerfect to make this job super easy.

Well that's it for today, thanks for stopping by. Make sure you head over to The Play Date Cafe and enter your take on this weeks fabulous color challenge.
