Summer Lovin' Mini Album

Hey there everyone thanks for stopping by today.  I'm going to share a fun mini album with you today using a Basically Bare Funky Findings album.  This mini album perfect for all of those summer pics you are taking or have already taken.  I love the envelopes in these albums....perfect to stash ticket stubs, notes, extra photos or hidden journaling spots.  Lets start with the cover.  I love this collection Summer Lovin' from Carta Bella and the stickers sheet is a fun way to embellish your album.  I tied a little May Arts ribbon around the front cover this time rather then on the spirals.

Now for the inside.  I have not put any photo mats in this one yet.  Once I gather and take all of our fun Summer photos then I will mat them and add them to the book.  This first page I created a little pocket for a journaling spot to slide into.  I will also slide some photo mats in as well.

This next page is one of the envelope pages....LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!!!

For the acrylic page I simply added some red polka dot washi tape around it, then embellished with stickers.  I love that it has a little bit of embellishment but you can still see the page behind it!

This next page has not one but two fabulous envelopes!!

The back side of the envelopes I added a journaling spot to the top one and I may put a photo on the bottom one.

Here is the final page.  I love the tab on this page, simply the perfect spot for any word stickers or you could even add the date here.

Patriotic Home Decor

Hey there everyone today i'm going to share a home decor piece with you just in time for the 4th of July! I will show you the finished project first then break down how you can create it!
July 4th 4 step6
So to create this you first start with any size piece of corrugated board.  The size of this project is 6x6.  Tear off bits of the board then paint with Art Anthology gesso.
July 4th step 1
Using pattern paper cut a piece that is about 1/4" smaller then your board and adhere at an angle using Xyron adhesive.
July 4th 9 step2
I used the Tim Holtz star stencil along with some Art Anthology Stones Effects Dimensional Medium (Brick) to place some red stars over the pattern paper.  I used a sponge to do this.
July 4th 8 step3
I used an older line for this project and I loved the chevrons on this Pink Paislee collection.  I cut the chevrons out and adhered them across the pattern paper.
July 4th 6 step4
Next it's time to decorate and embellish with the amazing Petaloo flowers.  I used Darjeeling Petites (Teastanie) and Burlap blossoms (Ivory).  The Xyron liquid glue works very well for this!  Before I placed the flowers down I tied some Tim Holtz trim around the board so that I could hang a tag from it.
July 4th 5 step5
You can see the enameled tag below.  I cut apart some remnant rubs from Tim Holtz so it would say happy 4th.
July 4th 2 step8
You can see a couple of close up photos below of the flowers and stencil work.
July 4th 3 step7
July 4th 1 step9
Supplies Used:
Petaloo - Darjeeling Petites (Teastaine) Burlap Blossoms (Ivory), Spring Berry Clusters
Pink Paislee - Declaration Collection
Xyron - Mini runner, liquid glue, high tack glue dots
Tim Holtz - Card "J", trims, enameled tags, remnant rubs, star stencil
Art Anthology - Gesso, Stone Effects Dimensional Medium (Brick)
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, hope you have an amazing day!!

The Journey

Hey there everyone Stacy here today to share another art journal page with you that I created using Art Anthology products.  I totally LOVE these colors together that I used as the base of the page.  I started by misting my page with a little water.  Next I grabbed my Art Anthology Colorations Sprays (Juicy, Studio Blue, Heart &Plush) then started misting.  I did a light layer, then began to fill in where I wanted more color at.
6-22-2 copy
Now that the base was done it was time to pick some stamps to use.  I started with the Tim Holtz stamp set Mini Muse (the circles) and stamped a few of those with black ink on the page.  Next I took one of the caps from my Colorations sprays and dipped it into the Art Anthology Gesso to make white circles over the stamped image. You can see that in this close up photo below at the bottom of the picture.
6-22 close upcopy
I continued stamping images along with a quote from the same Tim Holtz set.  The funky ladies head along with her hair I created came from a Dyan Reaveley set (Bits of this).  I added a few word stickers that I thought went along with the saying and placed them on the lower left of the page.  I also did a little gel pen action to outline a few things on the journal page.
6-22 copy
Supplies Used:
Art Anthology - Colrations Sprays (Juicy, Heart, Studio Blue & Plush)
Art Anthology - Gesso
Stamps - Tim Holtz (Mini Muse) Dyan Reaveley (Bits of this & Doodle Parts)
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today to check out my art journal page.  You can grab all of the Colorations Sprays along with some amazing stamp sets at The Scrapbooking Studio online HERE.

Art Journal Time

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I am having so much fun art journaling lately and want to share my newest journal page with you today.

To start this page I sprayed a little water over my journal then started layering with the Art Anthology Colorations Sprays.  I used Honey Bee, Grass, Studio Blue and then I used my heat tool to dry it for a second.
AA_June16-5 copy
Next I grabbed one of my stencils, sponge and Art Anthology Sorbet Dimensional Paint (Mi Bella) and did a little stencil action on the page.
AA_June16-4 copy
Once the paint had dried I got to town stamping a saying, and I simply love the arrow and flowers stamps.

You can see in the photo below I also used the Watermelon Colorations Spray and flicked it all over the page. The center of the flowers and the petals I filled in with the Dimensional Crystal.  For this I used Fairy, Guava & Peony.

Father's Day Trinket Box

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I have a fun project to share with you today that is a perfect way to give your dad a little trinket or gift certificate for Father's Day.  I don't know about you, but it's hard to by for my husband and dad for Father's Day.  I get oh I don't want or need anything....that being said I do know that my dad will never turn away a gift certificate to go golfing!!  This box is the right size to place that in!!
I love to alter boxes, it's one of my favorite things to do.  They make such a great, unique way to give a gift.  Not to mention you can find a paper mache box to alter almost anywhere!  I grabbed the Quick Quotes paper that Cheryl had sent us, it's called Calypso Collection.  I love the colors in this line and how well the line goes with the Petaloo goodies!
Petaloo Quick Quotes1
I inked all of the pattern paper using Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink, ran the papers through my Xyron 5" Creative Station and it was smooth sailing from there!  Here is a better view of the top of the box.  Can I just tell you how TOTALLY AMAZING the burlap blossoms are....i'm so in love with these flowers and the butterflies....well these are a must have!!!!  I used the Burlap Blossoms (Teal & Ivory) on the lid and you can see in the photo below I took apart a Spring Berry Cluster (another must have in EVERY color) and placed them around the flowers.  This collection from Quick Quotes came with some really cool chipboard stickers as well so I popped one of those up in the flowers.

Sail Away Mini

Hey there everyone, thanks for stopping by today!!So for my project today I altered a fun little mini album from Basically Bare Tiny Tabs.  Lets start with the front of the book.  You can see I mixed up how the album came and put a clear acrylic piece in front.  I used Art Anthology Sorbet Dimensional Paint (Big Dip O'Ruby) and did a little stencil work.  You can also see the ribbons from May Arts are a perfect fit with the paper collection I used in this book.  The pink/red ribbon was actually white and I used the Art Anthology Colorations Spray (Sangria) to color the ribbon.
