Travel Book

Hey there girls....I've been busy working away today. My stepmothers birthday is tomorrow and her and a group of her friends go out of town every year for "girls weekend". Well I wanted to make her something to put her pictures in for this years trip. I don't alter things alot...but here is the cover of the book I made for her.

I think there is a little of everything in this book. Lets see....Pattern paper by Studio Calico Documentary line, Cosmo Cricket tiny type, Jenni Bowlin pin, Ranger distress inks on the tag, lots of different ribbons, metal charms, and some stamps on the cover of the book.

I think I may be a little hooked on making books now :)

My first masking

So I wanted to try something new. I was at the LSS The Scrapbooking Studio and saw this fabulous mask by Tim Hotlz - Timeworks. LOVE IT!!! So I grabed the mask & an Ink blending tool came home and first tried it with misting. I really didn't like it that way. So I checked out Tim Holtz web site and watched his 6 minute video on masking. This is what I came up with!!

I have the perfect layout i'm going to use it on but just wanted to show you my tag :)

Supplies used: Shipping tag, ink blending tool, Tim Holtz timeworks mask, and the following Tim Holtz Distress inks: peeled paint, faded jeans, black soot, barn door, & spiced marmalade.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out for my first time.

Smile....

Made this fun bright card to make someone smile :) This was for one of the challenges over at Scrapbook Heaven this month. The challenge was to use 4 layers on your project. Simply love the colors in this paper and rub-ons.

Supplies used on this card I picked up at our LSS The Scrapbooking Studio. Pattern paper, rub-ons & brad are from Pebbles, ribbon is Stampin' Up.

Creating for The Scrapbooking Studio

Had these fabulous pictures of the boys from the visit to papas house this weekend. Amy from The Scrapbooking Studio asked if I wanted to play with the new We R Memory Keepers line...Out and About. Of course I would!!!!! So here are a couple of layouts I came up with.

The first is little baby Marcos and his first visit to papas house :) Love this line and simply love the stitching on the background page since I can't sew but love that look.

The next layout is of Issac playing with his truck. Again this paper and stickers are perfect for these pics. Added a little misting action of course using 2 different colors, and some October Afternoon letter stickers. You can get this complete line at the online store here. On this layout I used my fabulous Kreaxions Circle cutter on all of the big circles.

Fun on the fourth

Here is a layout I did using my Pink Paislee kit from Queen Scraps. It helped me catch up on some July fourth pics I had from a couple of years ago!!!

This kit totally rocks. I love the colors for the 4th of July layouts. I simply love the touch of yellow that some of the paper brings to the layout. You can grab your Pink Paislee kit for only $9.99 over at the Queens Scraps store.
