Sew Cute } Jillibean Soup

I have to say that i'm loving all of the new releases from Jillibean Soup. Today i'm sharing a card that I created using the Homemade Bean Soup line. Loving the colors and the designs bigtime!! I even did a little stitching of my own around the outside of the base paper.

I used the dress die from Spellbinders to make that fun little dress on the front. I ran it through my Xyron machine to adhere it together. The circle under the dress form I used my Kreaxions Circle cutter for this one, then did a little inking with Ranger vintage photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I have something exciting to share later this week so stay tuned!!

THANK YOU ALL!!! Our visit with Olivia :)

First of all I have to say a huge THANK YOU!!!! This week seeing all the cards that have come in and packages for Olivia has been FABULOUS!!! Everyday when the mail would come I would grab my paper and write it all down. (so this is going to be a long post)!! Today we went to see Olivia for the first time since she was taken to Iowa City. She had her surgery a week ago tomorrow, and the good news just keeps coming. They removed all of the tumor, she may still have to undergo radiation for awhile....but as you will see, she is still smiling. She may even get to come home at the end of this next week :) So here are the pics I promised and LOTS of thanks :) One of my favorite pictures is her on the bed with all of the mail. She was not stopping until she opened all of the mail....that took 1 1/2 hours!! I told her maybe next week I can bring more mail to her at home instead of at the hospital.

And how cute is this!!! This came from Aime Stewart in MD!! She put this hat on as soon as she opened it and didn't take it off :):)

A big thank you to the Rock Island High School Cheerleaders for this fabulous card that my daughter Ariel was in charge of.

Some yummy candy came from Nikki Sivils, and her sisters took off with the bubble wrap :)

Now for the many thanks to all of you who sent letters to brighten her day. I will post this once a week so that you know Olivia has gotten your mail :)

Altered Dress Form } ScraPerfect

I saw this wooden dress from and knew just what to do with it. My daughters room is pink, black & white so yes I altered it for a little decor in her room. First I gathered my goodies...From ScraPerfect - The Best Glue Ever, Embellie Gellie, dress form, ribbons, bling, and paper.

Next I placed little lines of glue here and there all the way around the dress form and let it get a little tacky. Next I simply placed my paper on and set it aside for a bit to dry.

Now comes the hard part!! It was time to trim the paper. For this I used my Fiskars blade to cut around as close as I could get. Inside of the dress was a little harder, so for that I used a file set.

Here is what the dress form should look like at this point.

Once this was dry I placed another paper behind the dress part so that you could not see through the dress. Now it was time to embellish. Once again, grabbing The Best Glue Ever I placed a strip of glue along the bottom and top of the dress and then placed the ribbon on. I added some pearls across the middle of the dress and around the neck line which was easy to do with the Embellie Gellie in hand!! Next I placed a couple little flowers along the shoulder area and it was done.

I simply love how this project turned out, and it's going to look fabulous in my daughter's room. Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

A fun little sticker from the minatures sticker sheet and added a little twine from The Twinery and my Xyron adhesive.

WOOHOO!!! One card down....and lots more to go :)

Many THANKS & Olivia update!!!

Hello everyone!! First of all I want to thank ALL of you so very much!! What started out to me as a card drive for Olivia....thinking how nice would it be to get 100 cards to brighten her day, has turned into something I could never have imagined!!! I have called the post office to warn them of the card drive in case I need to start making trips there to pick up the mail :):)

I am truly grateful for all of my scrappy friends who have shared the link to the card drive, along with so many of you that I don't personally know, along with the many others who have shared this info that I don't even know about. I know it is on many blogs, facebook and even twitter (and I don't even know how to tweet)!!!

A special thank you to the special manufactures who have also shared this info....Nikki Sivils who has a FABULOUS give-a-way on her blog about this, Xyron (who Christina Olivia's mom design for), my good friends at Echo Park, and Helmar.....I love you all!!!

So let me share with you some pictures of Olivia from this past weekend. This is a picture of Olivia hanging with her older sister :)

And you know little girls love to have tea parties!!! Here she is having a fabulous tea party with all of her sisters and her grandma moo moo!!

So surgery was this morning. She was scheduled for 8 am for a surgery that was suppose to be 6-8 hours long, before surgery they informed Christina & David that it would be 8-10 hours!! So imagine my surprise when 4 1/2 hours later I got word that they were closing her up!!!! Now to share what David (Olivia's dad posted) :):)

Day 7 Surgery:
What we thought was going to be one of the worst days of our lives turned out to be one of the greatest. They were able to remove Olivias entire tumor. Olivia is in the PICU, has multiple IV's, breathing tube, and is heavily sedated. She wont be totally out of the woods for a few days, and will most likely need radiation and or chemo in the future. Thank you everyone for all the prayers. A MIRACLE has just occurred. We know that Dr. Menezes is not GOD, but he is definitely a close relative.

I know that having Olivia in your thoughts and prayers helped this miracle come true!!! Thank you so much to all of you, it means more than you will ever know.

On a fun note....Olivia got 4 cards and a package in the mail here today!! I plan on making the first mail delivery this Sunday.

Thanks again to EVERYONE!!!!! I will keep you posted.

Cards for Olivia Drive....

Good morning everyone. Today i'm asking for your thoughts, prayers and CARDS!! Monday night my cousin's daughter sweet little Olivia was taken to the hospital after not feeling well. Here at out local hospital they did a CT scan and found a brain tumor which is in the most critical part of the brain. She was taken to the University of Iowa hospital that night. After having further tests, surgery is a must! This is going to happen Monday August 22.

Today Olivia should be starting kindergarten, but because of her medical issues now so is spending this day in the hospital. I talked with my cousin last night and she is trying to be very strong. I know lots of well wishes and prayers are going their way daily. This being said....yesterday Olivia was given 2 emails that friends had sent to the hospital for her and Christina said this put the biggest smile on her face!!!

So i'm asking you to please take 1/2 out of your day and create a card for Olivia. Let's redo her hospital walls in cards and keep that big smile on her face while she is there.

Here is a picture of that great smile she has.

I created this card for her and mailed it yesterday.

So once again i'm asking for your CARDS!!! Please help us let her know people all over are wishing her well. You can mail the cards to me, i'm 5 minutes from her house and 45m minutes from the hospital. They will brighten this little ones day!

Thanks sooooo much to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and cards. Please mail them to this address below.

Friend, Confidant, Crony } Jillibean Soup

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all having a great week so far. I was working on a mini album of my daughter and her best friend. I had asked my daughter and her best friend to pick out about 10 pic of the two of them. The picture on this layout is one that they had picked. I loved it so much I had to print an extra copy to do a layout with.

I used some of my yummy new Jillibean Soup Sweet & Sour Soup line. This line is way to fun, and love how it looks with my photo. Here is the layout I came up with and a couple of close up shots as well.

Loving the corrugated letters from Jillibean as well. They ink up so nice :) So here are the supplies used on this one: Jillibean Soup - Sweet & Sour Soup line, White Corrugated alphas & kraft mini brown alphas, Xyron adhesive & Ranger vintage photo distress ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope you all have a fabulous day!

Baby Steps

Happy Thursday everyone, hope you all have had a wonderful week so far. I've been a mini album creating fool lately....I think mini's are my new favorite thing to create. I created this one for another person that I know who is expecting a baby soon. This mini was created using Simple Stories Baby Steps. This company is new to me and also new to our LSS The Scrapbooking Studio....I have to say the 6x6 pads are wonderful for you mini lovers out there. So many fun little elements to cut apart and use!

Here is the cover of my mini, I love the vintage feel to this line.

Now i'm going to share just a few of the pages inside. I created these little dividers between the pages. It's hard to see in the photos but each one has the month, weight, height & milestone on it for the proud momma to fill in. I inked everything on this one with Ranger distress ink (brushed corduroy), added lots of ribbon and all the rest came from the 6x6 paper pad.

Supplies Used: Simple Stories Baby Steps, Xyron adhesive, Bazzill ribbon & cardstock, Tiny Attacher, Ranger Distress Ink (brushed corduroy).

Thanks so much for stopping by, i'm off to work on a mini again today using some yummy Bella BLVD!

Jillibean Soup & SRM Stickers= 1 Fabulous Calendar

Good morning everyone!! Well I have created a new desktop calendar for 2012....I know you are thinking wow we still have 5 months left of this year!!!! Well when the Homemade Soup line from Jillibean arrived on my doorstep last week I knew it was the perfect line to go along with the SRM Stickers 2012 calendar that I had just picked up at The Scrapbooking Studio. So I grabbed some of my Wendy Vecchi Art Parts, Xyron Creatopia and got to work.

Here are the Art Parts I used; Large creative covers (for the base), Sample pack (2 circles).

Next I cut the paper to size and then ran it through my Xyron Creatopia.

Now it was time to put it all together and decorate it. I found this super cute mini clipboard and covered that with paper also. The SRM Mini Calendar stickers are about 2 1/4" X 2 1/4", so I placed each month on a piece of cardstock and cut them out, stacked them on top of each other and placed them on the clipboard. I also tied some ribbon around the clip to add a little something fun to it.

I placed all of the pieces on top of each other to see where I wanted to place them down. Once I had that figured out I thought that I needed a little something on the left side. I grabbed my Tim Holtz Rossette die and that did the trick. So my next step was to have a little fun with some Ranger distress ink (vintage photo).

Ok i'm now ready to adhere it, finish decorating it....I grabbed my ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever (which works GREAT on Art Parts) and put it together. Here is my finished product.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a fabulous day!!

So Liz Qualman created this fabulous sketch yesterday and it was on the Simple Stories blog here. I love Liz's sketches so I got to work. Since the grandkids just had their birthday parties I had plenty of birthday pictures to go with this line. Here is the sketch from Liz.

Now here is my take on the sketch and a couple of close up pics.

So there is what I created this morning, now off to create some more. Hope you all have a fabulous day!!
