Believe In The Magic Of Sisterhood

I love the Say Cheese collections from Simple Stories....they are so fun to cute apart and create your own magical layout!!  I used this line for this photo because there is something so magical about the power of sisterhood!  These amazing ladies are part of AXO sigma chapter and have won the best sisterhood award 4 years in a row......it just doesn't get any better then that!

You can see how to cute apart any of the pieces in this collection below to created your own amazing title work by simply adding pop dots, punched images and letter stickers.  I don't know about all of you but letter stickers are my weakness!!!  I have some many different ones and when I find one I love I buy several sheets!!

I layered a few pieces of the paper as I simply adore the color scheme of this one with the black and white photo.

And the final layout is ready to go in the book.

Supplies Used:

A Little Sip Of Summer

This line from Simple Stories Summer Days was the perfect collection for these photos!  The AXO girls were enjoying sipping on some flavored shaved ice taking a much needed break.  I loved fussy cutting out the cloud, sunglasses and the little sip of summer and popping them up to add a little dimension on the layout.  I used part of a piece with the "notebook" lines and a punched the edges then stamped the date right on it and of course I have to get a little inky with the edges......perfect little way to not forget when this enjoyment of Summer happened.

I used strip of paper to created banners coming out from under one of the photos, again incorporating my notebook punch action along the bottom and adding a fun little camera flair.

Now the finished layout is complete and ready to be placed in the scrapbook!!  1 down and only what feels like hundreds more to go of this girls college life!

Supplies Used:
Xyron - Mega runner
Ranger Ink - Disstress Ink (walnut stain) & Sienna

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a creative day and get your fingers inky!

FTK - Dance Marathon 23

Well since it's a snowy Sunday here in the Midwest why not get some scrap therapy in right!  I am working on my daughters college album and came across the photos from dance marathon last year.  If your not sure what dance marathon is....well these college kids collect donations to give to The Children's Hospital at The University of Iowa.  It means a lot to those families who spend days, weeks, and months there.  The University Of Iowa students dance, stay awake and don't sit for 24 hours....yes 24 hours non stop!!  Last year they raised an amazing amount of money all FTK (for the kids)!  The exact total was $2,572,130.23  Crazy right.....but when these amazing young adults put their mind to something there is no stopping them!!

As a parent of one of these dancers....I of course stalked social media saving photos down, and watched the live stream with tears of pride!  I created this layout for Ariel to always remember one of the best things from her college years!

I love to use letter stickers on my layouts, however sometimes they are just not that sticky.  One way to make sure they don't fall off is to run them through my Xyron machines.  You can see in this photo below I ran them through my Xyron 1.5.  After running them through I just give them a little rub on the back of the adhesive strip and those bad boys are not coming off of the layout.

Here is my finished layout.  Not only will she remember this night because she doing it all FTK, but she enjoyed some time with her Alpha Chi Omega sisters as well!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  You can see the supplies used to create this layout below.
