Echo Park Guest Blogger Project

Hey there everyone and thanks for stopping by today. I'm super excited to be a guest blogger on the Echo Park blog today. For my project I did a little altering of a gift bag. Yes some of the Christmas bags that you can buy are cute....however why not spruce it up yourself and make it one of a kind!!!!

I simply love the way this turned out and now I don't want to give it to anyone :) So on this gift bag I used the super fun Everybody Loves Christmas line. This is one of my favorites from Echo Park. The colors totally rock, love the super cute design of all the papers. There are so many things you can cut out and pop up on your projects, not to mention the cover sheet that comes in the paper kit. You can totally use every piece of it as well. I used part of it on the upper right of my project...that is where I cut the Merry Christmas from. Other supplies used on this project: Xyron adhesive, Ranger Stickles, Kreaxions Circle Cutter, & Tim Holtz die.

Thanks for stopping and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Snowflake Centerpiece

Hey there everyone, happy Monday to you all!!! Well last week we had our first snowfall of the season,(yuck) and today it's SUPER cold!!! I think it is 15 below zero right now!!! I'm not ready for this!

Well today i'm showing you one of DT projects for AWDML. I made a centerpiece for fall and liked the way it turned out so I made one for winter.

On this centerpiece I used BoBunny paper Midnight Frost, Kaiser Craft pearls which I placed in the center of the snowflakes. The base of the centerpiece is a 10" green floral wreath. The snowflakes were cut out using the cricut. This works perfectly because you can cut so many different sizes and makes it really easy to layer.

Mixing Photos with The Girl's Paperie

Hey there everyone, have you ever mixed pictures on your layouts before. I'm talking about putting a very old photo with a newer photo. That is what I did on my layout for today. I love this line by The Girl's Paperie On Holiday. The fun die cuts totally rock with this line!! When I was sitting down to create this layout, to me this line symbolized the journey I had with my grandpa. That is also why I thought it was perfect to incorporate a older photo with one of the last photos of the two of us together. The title could not be more PERFECT! This layout is also my challenge to your over at Sketches4All as Decembers scraplift challenge.

I also created a card using this line. Sometimes when I make cards, I LOVE to have things going over the edges of the card.

Well don't forget all of The Girl's Paperie is on sale this month at A Walk Down Memory Lane.

Thanks for stopping and have a fabulous day!

Christmas Greetings

Happy Monday fellow scrappers. I hope you all had a fabulous holiday with your families. Last week after Thanksgiving guess what came in our mailbox!! Our FIRST Christmas card! I thought to myself OMG....I so need to work on my cards if I plan on getting them out this year :) So I did a little cutting, stamping, and played with some adhesive. This is one of my cards I created this weekend.

So I just love this fun line by Jillibean Soup, it's Christmas Chestnut Soup. The fun little sprouts that go with this line are a must have also. I added a little marker action around the outside of the sprout on the green and drew a line around the card, did a little inking on the paper, used my fabulous Kreaxions Circle Cutter to cut out some patterned paper in the middle of the circle, a Stampin' Up sentiment and my Xyron adhesive and I was done.

So I guess I can say one card down and a million more to go :)

Happy creating everyone,
Stacy

Wow....thanks so much for this Linda, for nominating me for this blog award!

According to the rules, I am supposed to list 3 things that make me unique, and then nominate 5 other bloggers with attitude….

Three Things…

1. I freak out if i'm running low on adhesive! When I mean low....if I don't have at least 4 refills i'm freakin' thinking i'm going to run out!

2. I always have to sleep with socks on :)

3. I do everything left handed...even grabbing things out of the fridge has to be with my left hand.

The next sketch you is the first reveal for the month of November over at the Sketchabilities site. When you scrapbook do you try and step outside of your comfort zone?? Well with this one that is what I tried to do with my paper choice.

Keeping track in a super fun way....

Ok.....so I love to keep track of things and love to make lists. I thought it was time for a new and cool looking way to keep track of all the special dates of the people in my life. This will totally help me out when my little sister calls and asks "When is so & so birthday". Maybe I need to make one of these for her. :)

Well I have the cover of my book done, so check it out!

I'm so excited with how the cover turned out and I can't wait to get the inside pages done to share with you. When it's someone's birthday that you know, do you ever wonder what is their birthstone, or what is their sign. I have created little tags in front of each month with that info on it. They look super cute just hanging in there. I also have tabs at the top of each month which you can kind of see in the picture. All of the fun tabs and tags were made using the cricut.

Well ladies this is super fun and easy to make. Why not start you new year out with a new occasions book!!

Supplies used: Teresa Collins: Freestyle paperline, chipboard cover, & chipboard elements, ribbon & fabulous fun blingage, and the super cool stamp set!! Can't forget the foam pop dots, and glossy accents.

Dec Daily

So I have been working here and there on my December daily. This is my first year doing one of these. I do have the first 3 pages done. I can't wait to have this wonderful book of memories when the month is done. It seems like we get so busy during the month sometimes we can't stop to enjoy things. At least this way if it's to crazy I will be able to look back and enjoy the memories. The nice thing is I can just insert a picture and do my journaling and it's done.

I love the Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas line so that is the paper I picked for this one. I do have the paper on the whole book and i'm now just working on the embellies. The first 3 pages I have added some Prima bling & ribbon, Ranger stickles, American Crafts Thickers, Maya Road bingo number & envelope, Xyron adhesive. I will keep posting as I get some pages done.

Doggy Christmas

Todays layout is a picture from last Christmas. When asking my dad & stepmom what they wanted for Christmas...well here is their answer. "We already have everything we need...why don't you buy pet stuff so we can donate it to the local animal shelter". I TOTALLY LOVED IT!!! Let me tell you how much fun it was to go shopping for their gift :)

Now if you notice the two pups that are next to the box...well they are my parents dogs and yes they did get to keep one of the toys :)

This layout is from a sketch at Sketches4All. Supplies are: Xyron adhesive,Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Bazzill cardstock, Crate Paper & chipboard stickers, Cosmo Cricket tiny type, October Afternoon letters, and Ranger distress ink.

So I love the Maya road mini chipboard albums. They are super fun to alter. I made this heart shaped one for my daughter. I put a couple pics of her and Cole in it to celebrate their first year together. On this album I used the new BoBunny Crazy Love paperline. It's super cute!!!

I think on this project I put everything I could find in my stash on here. The ribbon that ties the book together is Prima and I used Santa Baby Tattered Angels mist on it to make it red. Other supplies: Xyron adhesive, Prima: pearls, ribbon and bling , American Crafts: thickers, foam pop dots, Bazzill flower, Pebbles dots.

Now my daughter has something to cherish their first year together :)

Teresa Collins Centerpiece

Hey there everyone....wow it's really November already?? Where has the time gone? Well since this is the month where we get to host that fabulous yummy holiday here at our house, I wanted to work on a centerpiece for the table. Check out what I came up with.... :)

For this project I used a foam green floral wreath that was 10" in size. I cut out a bunch of different leaves out of the fabulous Teresa Collins paper, then inked the edges with black soot distress ink. Next I grabbed my hot glue gun and started putting down the base leaves. After that I just filled in the spots I thought needed filled in. On some spots I used foam pop dots to add a little dimension to the project. The finishing touch was the candle in the middle which pulled the piece together.

This paper line your can grab at The Scrapbooking Studio.....also don't forget to reserve your spot now for this coming weekends classes with Teresa Collins in person!!!!!! It will be totally fun!!!

Here is my take on this one. As you can see i'm trying to prepare for our cold winter days that will be here soon enough.

Brr....it's cold outside

Well our nice weather has finally gone. It has been cold & windy here the past couple of days. This only means one thing.....winter is on it's way. I thought....well why not try and get in the spirit so I altered a paper mache cone and wooden star to look like a tree. I grabbed some paper & mod podge and got messy!

This was the first time I have made a tree out of paper. I simply loved the Wintertime line by Echo Park so that is the paper I used. The cone I grabbed at Hobby Lobby along with the wooden star on the top. The paper strips are cut to 1" x 3" and I just curled up the end of the paper before putting it on the cone. It's really simple....just start at the bottom and work your way up. I may take a while, but the outcome is totally worth it.

Good Times

Check out this fabulous, fun, funky paper. I am soooo loving these clocks!!!!

This is a layout I created for The Scrapbooking Studio in Moline, Il. This line is by Teresa Collins and it's called Freestyle. I simply love the colors in this line. I also used part of the strip at the bottom of the paper with the barcode on it, which is the 2 black & white strip of paper on the layout. By the way......OMG....Teresa Collins is coming there Nov5 & 6 . Sign up for her fabulous classes soon before they are all sold out! It will be a blast. I added some American Crafts thickers and October Afternoon letters to the layout, and a little bit of black bling, Xyron adhesive.
