Scrapbook Heaven's "Spring In My Step" Blog Hop

Welcome everyone!!!!! We are VERY excited you have joined us for the first blog hop for Scrapbook Heaven!!! The hop will run from April 17 - April 20! All prizes will be drawn and posted on April 21. Good luck to all of you!! If you have just come here from Teresa's blog then your on the right track, and if you have stopped by to visit my blog, and did not realize there was a blog hop going on please start here at the beginning of the hop. There will for sure be some FABULOUS inspiration and some fun prizes along the way!

What's my project you ask?!?!?!?! Well what is spring without flowers??? I'm going to show you how to make 3 different types of homemade flowers for your pages. Here are all of the directions and the pictures will be posted down below. Hope you enjoy and I can't wait to see all of your lovely homemade flowers on your layouts!!

Flower #1 - Ribbon Flower (1st & 2nd picture)

First you'll need an 8 inch piece of ribbon, needle and some thread. All you have to do for this flower is do a gathering stitch across the top of the entire length of the ribbon. Next simply gather the ribbon up with the thread and sew the ends together. Then place a brad or pearl in the center and you will be able to place it on your card or page with a glue dot. Simply right!!! (I can do it and I can't sew!!!!)

Flower #2 - Rose (3rd & 4th pictures)

You will need a scallop circle punch for this one, pattern paper, and a brad. Punch out 8 scallop circles and crumble them up tight. Then un-crumble them and stack them one on top of another. Now punch a hole through the center of all of them and place a brad through them. You will want to scrunch one layer up around your brad at a time. Once you have done this with all 8 layers, simply spread the layers out slightly and you will have a flower that looks like a rose.

Flower #3 - Simple Circles (5th picture)

You need 3 different size circle punches for this one and 3 small pieces of pattern paper. You will want to punch out 1 shape with each punch. Now crubmle them up and unfold. Next layer starting with the biggest on the bottom and the smallest on top. Now punch a hole and place a brad through the center.

Well ladies happy hopping. Next you'll need to stop by and see what Susan has in store for you!! I'm sure it's simply fabulous!!

Thanks again for stopping, but before you go leave me a comment and become a follower for your chance to win these 3 flowers and 4 of my homemade buttons pictured below. :)
