Sketchabilities #40/Christmas Kisses

Hey there everyone....it's reveal day again over at Sketchabilities. I'm totally loving this sketch....well I really love every sketch there!!! This is a layout of Ariel and Cole the day we made our cookies.

So here is the sketch....

and of course here is my take on it...

So lets see, what did I use on this one: MME paper, Prima flowers, Xyron adhesive, Maya Road flowers, October Afternoon letters & My Little Shoebox letters, and some red twine. I did a little inking around the edges with some distress ink and also stitched around the scallop background shape.

2011 Calendar

Well I needed to create a little calendar to put up on my board above my countertop in my scraproom...so that is my project for today which is also my DT post for AWDML.

So to start with I used a piece from a Maya Road chipboard album for the base shape. I used some Sassafras Count Me In line for the paper and put everything down with some Xyron adhesive. For all of the fun embellies I used... Tim Holtz: Gear die cut, tissue tape (symphony), accoutrements, and muse tokens, Tattered Angels mist (for the fabric flower & gears), Maya Road stick pin, and some pink tulle to tie around the chipboard and also to hang it with.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Canvas Picture Frame

Ok so...I have had this canvas sitting around my scraproom for like....EVER!!! I made the mistake of misting it blue probably 6 months ago, and well there it sat. So this weekend I was lucky enough to meet Tammy Tutterow (totally fabulous person) and I was helping out at the The Scrapbooking Studio where she taught her class. Friday night her class was altering a piece of canvas. So after coming home Friday night laying in bed thinking of buttons, flowers, & my blue canvas....well I knew it was time to attack this thing!! So today after enjoying another day of her creative inspiration , I came home after stopping at the fabric store to grab some buckram to make these kick butt flowers. I pulled out some yummy things from my stash and got busy. Here is what I came up with..By the way there is not a picture in this yet because i'm going to print a black & white one of my daughter and her boyfriend. The colors match my daughters room perfectly and she wants this. (I actually was making it for someone else..but how can I tell her no????)

Here are a couple different views of the embellies....

Well here is the long list of goodies I used on this project. 12x12 canvas, Echo Park Be Mine paperline, Xyron 9" Creative Station & sticky spots, Tim Holtz: Dies (Gadget Gears & Tattered Florals), Tissue Tape (symphony), Accoutrements, Muse Tokens, Ranger: Silver acrylic paint, Maya Road: Clocks & bling, Prima: Ribbon & white roses, Buckram fabric, Tattered Angels Mist:Bubblegum, Smooch: Black mist.

Cricut Magazine :)

WOOHOOO!!! Just a quick little post...I just got an email that I have a layout that was picked up for the upcoming June/July 2011 issue! Just had to share.

Two of a Kind

Good Monday morning everyone. Today i'm sharing a DT project for Kreaxions Punches. On my project today I used the Circle Cutter. I LOVE this thing. This is a layout of Ariel and I on Thanksgiving day. The title says it all. Sometimes we drive Tim crazy because we are so much alike. We have recently discovered just how much alike we are.

Here is a close up of the circle on the lower right of the layout.

On this layout some of the fun little strips of paper and the half circle on the upper left of the layout stick great after running them through my little Xyron machine. My paper of choice is Sassafras Count Me In line and some of the Pocket Full Of Rosies stickers. That funky button at the top is Tim Holtz Accoutrements and the charm at the bottom is also Tim Holtz Muse Tokens. I did a little stitching along the cardstock and use some thickers for my title and there it is.

Mister Impawsible

Today i'm sharing a DT projects for A Walk Down Memory Lane. I played with a little Pebbles Inc paper today. I thought it was perfect for the picture of our cat. The title is simply fabulous for this one. If you knew how impossible he could be you would totally understand! He will get into anything and everything he can in the mornings to get you up to feed him if you don't do it in a timely manner.

So on this layout the supplies I used were: Adhesive- xyron, Cardstock - Bazzill, Paper - Pebbles Inc Cats& Dogs, Letter stickers - American Crafts thickers & October Afternoon stickers.

Valentine Greetings

Hey there everyone...well with the Christmas & New Year holiday just passing I thought it was time to gear up for the next holiday. What better way to start getting ready for Valentine's Day then to start on my cards. So I found this FABULOUS sketch over at Cardabilities and got to work. Here is what I came up with.

On this card the paper of choice was Little Yellow Bicycle Cupcake Love line. I used Xyron adhesive, Bazzill cardstock, and the stamp & ink are Stampin' Up. The circles were cut using my Kreaxions Circle Cutter.

Well ladies I hope this inspires you to start on your Valentine cards for your sweethearts!

Have a fabulous day!

Love Notes

The other day I found this fabulous little metal mailbox at target for $1!!!! So of course I thought I could alter that and turn it into a cute little Valentine home decor. So that is what I worked on this morning. I was lucky enough to have this planned as this is also a challenge over at Lucky Girls Crafts.

I had a blast working on this. The mailbox had a red plastic flag sticking up on the side. I pulled it off and made a pink one to better go with the colors of paper.

Supplies used: Xyron adhesive (510 machine & adhesive runner)& the design runner with the Emotions disc; Echo Park Be Mine collection; Teresa Collins blingage; and a BoBunny flower.

Well it's time to go find a place for my little project. Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by.

Altered Change Jar

Well this my last month as a DT member at A Walk Down Memory Lane where I have been for a year. Well actually we all got to be there for an extra month while they get the next DT ready. So this is my first project for my last month there. Today's project is my tip/technique for using rub-ons. I know they work well on paper for your cards and layouts....but have you ever tried to use them on glass/plastic? Today I used them on a plastic jar to jazz up my change jar.

On the jar I used rub-ons from Basic Grey Wander collection. I thought the map would be good on my jar for my summer trip. I also created the fun tag to tie around the top.

Here is a closer picture of the tag. On this tag I also used paper from the Wander collection. I grabbed my Xyron Design Runner and the travel disc to pick out a saying for the tag. The design runner worker GREAT on the piece of cork!

Supplies used on this project: Xyron adhesive, design runner; Basic Grey Wander paper, rub-ons, brad & bling; Maya Road clock; Quick Cutz cork.

Now I just need to fill this jar up :) Have a fabulous day!
