Vintage Christmas Mailbox

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  I'm excited to share my vintage Christmas mailbox with you today.  I created this for a store display at The Scrapbooking Studio in Moline Illinois.  For this project I used the new line from Graphic 45 Twelve Days Of Christmas.  The colors and the design of this line was the perfect choice for my vintage project.  For all of you local ladies you can grab this collection at the store and for all of you out of town ladies you can shop online at The Scrapbooking Studio.

Ok so lets start with a view of the entire mailbox.  With the Tim Holtz feet on it the mailbox stands 17" tall.  The flap that the mail is in actually opens as well.  This mailbox is made out of cardboard and glues together to make this amazing project.  For the base paper I ran this through my Xyron Creatopia to adhere it to the box.  Here is a view from the side.

A little straight on view for you here.

Now for some close up photos so that you can see the detail.  You can see that "The Twelve Days of Christmas" saying on the front of the box I did a little fussy cutting around the image.  I also cut out the drum and doves out of the paper and popped them up on the saying.  I embellished the right side with some of the Graphic 45 die cut flowers along with some goodies from the staples collection.  Everything on this box I inked with Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The flowers, doves and drum are popped up with Xyron foam squares from the Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit.

I used some Gesso from Art Anthology to give the feet a different look.

The spot on the mailbox at the top where the opening was needed a little something.  I created some pinecones using Core'dinations Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered Collection along with the Sizix Tattered Pinecone die.  You can also see the Graphic 45 metal pull used to open the mailbox.

Since this is of course a mailbox I needed a couple cards and even a letter to Santa getting dropped in.  I used the fun letter stickers from the collection to address the Santa envelope.

Supplies Used:
Graphic 45 Twelve Days Of Christmas  Collection, G45 Staples
Xyron - Creatopia, TC Adhesive Kit
Art Anthology - Gesso
Ranger - Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Sizzix - Tattered Pinecone Die

Well thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you enjoy my Vintage Christmas Mailbox as much as I do.  Don't forget to grab your goodies at The Scrapbooking Studio to create amazing Holiday projects!
