My first ScraPerfect DT project :):)

Hello everyone, i'm so excited to share my first project with you as a DT at ScraPerfect. On this project I used the fabulous Best Glue Ever and the wonderful Perfect Crafting Pouch. I have been doing more altered projects recently and this is one of them. I thought it was time for a new desktop calendar so I found this perfect 5x7 frame to alter. I used the yummy Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends paper line...totally loving it :):)

I removed the glass from the frame and placed paper on the frame itself and also on the cardboard that usually keeps the glass in place then of course inked it all up! Next I placed a Tim Holtz large ring binger in the center to turn it into a flip calendar. To make the pieces that have the dates on them I first cut some chipboard I had laying around to 3" X 3 3/4" pieces. I ran them through my Xyron Creatopia to put adhesive on it and then covered them with the paper. This made the edges a little sticky, so I of course grabbed my Crafting Pouch to take that "stickyness" away. Another option for covering the chipboard with paper is to use The Best Glue Ever. To do this you could place a small line around the piece of chipboard, then use a paintbrush to spread the glue out a little and put your paper down.

Then simply decorate you pieces, punch holes, and place on the binder ring. While decorating these pieces I must say sometimes it's hard to hold onto buttons, pearls or any type of bling. If you have this problem the Embellie Gellie works wonders!! It was super easy for my to place the buttons exactlly where I wanted them using this fabby invention!

Now how about those fun flowers are the top!! I used some Wendy Vecchi Art Parts for one. Misted is with some Tatterend Angels mist, and the leaves I used Ranger Distress stain (peeled paint). Let me tell you that The Best Glue Ever totally held all this together with no problem. I even used this glue to adhere the metal clock to the center of the flower. So not only does it work on thick chipboard, and metal....I used it to put together my flower that I made using grungeboard, which is the butterscotch flower on the upper left.

So if you love to alter things...The Best Glue Ever is a must have in your scrapbooking stash!!!! It is always in arms reach for me :) All of these fabulous goodies used to make this project you can grab The Scrapbooking Studio. Thanks for stopping by and i'm looking forward to sharing many more projects with you here.

Have a fabulous day!
Stacy
