Girls Night } Pebbles Inc.

Hey there everyone, I hope that you are all having a fabulous weekend so far. Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created from my daughters formal (the first of many more to come). The girls had so much fun taking pictures and being crazy :)

For this one I used some yummy Pebbles Inc paper. I loved both of the lines Happy Go Lucky & Ever After.....you can see how well they work together.

I created a super fun little pocket on the upper right to slide a journaling tag into. I simply love the felt flowers and flower buttons Pebbles has come out with. The little glitter candy dots work well as the center of your flower button, or simply just as a little added bling on the layout. Of course you all know I love my letter stickers, so yes there are 4 different types of letters on this one. I used some American Crafts thickers (teal & brown), MLS mini alphas (hot pink), and Basic Grey basics (white). I inked up all the paper with some Ranger distress ink, added a few staples to the tab on the journaling tag with the Tim Holtz tiny attacher, used a few border punches, put it all together with the Xyron mega runner and well there you have it.....a fun little layout of the girls!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, hope you all have a wonderful day!

My first CHA...(pre show)!!

Well I thought today would be a good day to share some pics from my first trip to CHA! I had the BEST time there. It was crazy busy, super fun, inspirational and so much more. I went with Amy from The Scrapbooking Studio (thanks a bunch) :) Ok so the drive well.....it was good until we hit Chicago traffic (which I totally hate), it makes me so nervous. We had meetings which seemed to last pretty much all day on Saturday & Sunday. Starting at 8 am ending around 6 or so, then it was time to meet up with people. We ended up going to sleep around 12 or 1 every night and up at 5, so I was missing my sleep and my good coffee!!

We had dinner with lots of good friends.....there is a pic of all 13 of us girls, which I don't have.

Our huge piece of cake that we all shared :)

Dinner with the Echo Park Crew..Jody, Madison & Nathanael.

I meet Tim Holtz and took a Ranger class....this was super fun!

Helped Set up the Echo Park booth...that was fun, Amy and I laughed so much at these guys!

Amy making things look so pretty!

I finally caught up with Nikki Sivils & Katrina Hunt during set up time :)

Tomorrow I will share some pics of all of the fabulous girls I finally got to meet while I was there. There are some girls that I didn't get to catch up with, hopefully another time.
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!

Home Decor } Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium by Kristine Mckay

So i'm loving this Halloween line from Echo Park that Kristine Mckay designed for them. It is TOTALLY FABULOUS!! When the UPS man dropped this off I could not wait to tear into it. So after opening it and looking at all the papers I knew I wanted to do a altered home decor project. I grabbed some of my Wendy Vecchi Art parts (Covers, border & bottles), lots of Tim Holtz goodies, and some paint, stain, inks & studio gloss from Ranger and got busy.

I started by using the Claudine Hellmuth Studio gloss to cover the base of the project, then placed my paper down. I did the same thing with the two small bottles in front. Set them aside to dry for a minute. While waiting I used Ranger Jenni Bowlin fountain pen paint to color the stars and the grungeblocks.

After the paper had set for a couple of minutes I sanded the edges then inked with Ranger distress ink (black soot & spiced marmalade) I gathered all my goodies and started placing them down and popping them up. Added a fun black flower that I learned how to make from Tammy Tutterow and I was done. Here are a couple of close up pics.

Supplies used: Echo Park paper (Apothecary Emporium), Wendy Vecchi Art Parts (covers, borders & bottles), Ranger: Distress ink (black soot, spiced marmalade),Jenni Bowlin paint (fountain pen), Claudine Hellmuth Studio gloss, Tim Holtz: Swivel clasps, game spinner, clock, bottle, grungeblocks.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a fabulous day!

School Is Cool } Nikki Sivils

Today I have a super fun project to share with you using Nikki Sivil's new School Is Cool line. Totally love this line and OMG the fun die cuts :):) When I saw this line I had the perfect project in mind. I wanted to create some sort of mini album of my daughters grade school pictures. I was lucky enough to be a CHA this week and finally got to meet Nikki, Katrina & Lanie. You will soon be able to get this line at The Scrapbooking Studio. Amy was lucky enough to get samples while at CHA and thankfully Lanie gave the store samples to the right person to bring back....ME!!! :):) You see they made them safely to my house before going to the store!! I ran the paper through my Xyron Creatopia and mega runner to adhere the paper on the clipboard and the chipboard which made this super easy!

Here is the cover & a up close picture of it, along with the inside pages.

Now how about a couple of fun pics from CHA!! Here is a picture of me and Nikki :)

And here is a pic of the fabulous Katrina Hunt and me!!

I know this was a long post but thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a fabulous day!

Play Date Cafe Challenge 91 } A Touch of Color

Hey there everyone, well it's finally Friday!! Today's post is the new challenge from The Play Date Cafe. The challenge was to create a project using black & white with a splash of color. I found the perfect paper for this one. I'm using the Pebbles Inc Mr. & Mrs. line. Here is the wedding card I created for this one.

I simply love the way this one turned out and super easy to make. I used Pebbles Inc Mr. & Mrs. line (which is mainly black & white, but has a touch of yellow to it), and how about those fun dimensional flower stickers!!! What a perfect touch on this card. I added a little black tulle and used some American Crafts foam pop dots to add a little pop and it was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by, don't forget to check out the PDCC challenge here!
Have a fabulous day.

I simply love this one!!! The colors and the vintage look is totally fabulous in my book. Thank you so much Amy Coon for letting me create with your fabby new things!!! I also used some ScraPerfect goodies on this one to.

Do you ever has issues placing flowers on your projects?? I use to use glue dots, and would end up with a mess!! I would have the glue dots sticking to my fingers and they would pull off some of the backing to the flowers. Haha....not anymore!!!! The Best Glue Ever totally rocks my flowers now!!!

I created this vintage birthday card using some vintage paper from The Paperlife and wanted to place my flowers on it without any hassle!! So I grabbed my trusty Best Glue Ever and got to work. Not only did my card turn out beautifully, but I had no messy fingers!!! WOOHOO!!! :) Gotta love it when everything just simply falls together for you when your creating.

So here is my fabby card I created.

This baby is Chicago Bound :):):)

Hey there everyone, hope you are all having a good week so far. I had the most exciting message yesterday :):) I had not posted this mini album that I had made a few weeks ago so yesterday I posted it to the Jillibean facebook page. Soon after that I got a message from Kimber wanting to know if I would loan this to her and Jill for the Jillibean booth at CHA!!!! I about fell of my computer chair :):) So I thought I would share the cover with you today and I will share the rest with you later.

We have had a couple of very special birthdays in my family this past month. My grandson is turning one and I wanted to create an album for this special day. I had some chipboard laying around that would be perfect for this project. I cut the chipboard to 5" x 6". Ladies let me just tell you the best tip ever today....but first you need to grab some of The Best Glue Ever and a paintbrush.

What I did is super easy!! Using the fine tip just simply go around the edge of the chipboard and make a "sqiggy" line of glue. Now take the paintbrush and smooth out the line....it's really that simple. Once you have done this just place your paper down and it's done! There are no lumps under your paper at all and it is completely stuck!! After this is done you are ready for ink and decorations. This really makes covering your albums a breeze and you will find yourself wanting to make alot more. I am on album number 3 for the month already :):) Take a look at the latest album.

Another great use for The Best Glue Ever is that it is easy to place just is small areas. If you look at this close up picture I used a thin strip of it on the number 1 so that it just stuck to the paper with the candles on it to give it that popped up look! Just a small dab goes along way ladies.

Supplies used on this mini: Jillibean; Spotted Owl Soup, mini alphas & Corrugated Kraft Alphas, ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever, Maya Road Large resin flower, Rander distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day.

Fur-rocious Fun with Pebbles

Hey there everyone, well i've been super busy creating this weekend :):) Today i'm going to share with you a layout and an altered dog treat container that I made using Pebbles Cats & Dog line.

Up first is the dog treat container. I had this empty Prima flower container laying around and thought that would make a perfect treat holder. So I first cut a circle for the lid about 3 1/2" in size then used a file to smooth the paper so it was flush. I cut two stripes of paper to place around the center of it and inked it up using Ranger distress ink (brushed corduroy). I ran it through the Xyron Creatopia which made it super easy to stick to the container. I also wanted to create a little tag to pop off the front and this is what my finished project looks like. How about those little paw prints :):) I used the Xyron Design Runner with the Patternz disc to add those to it....they look so cute!!

Next up is the layout....how about this fun letter stickers, you know me I have to have my letter stickers :):):) and i'm loving the chipboard shapes that go with this line!!

Here is a list of the yummy goodies I used on these projects: Pebbles Inc; Cats & Dog paper line, chipboard stickers, ABC stickers, Xyron Mega Runner, Creatopia, Design Runner & Patternz disc, American Crafts; Thickers (black & white), Ranger distress ink (brushed corduroy).

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a fabulous day!!!

I grabbed my coffee and ran downstairs to my computer so I could see them better (spilling my coffee all the way)!!!! So I can't wait to get my hands on these yummy collections....check them out ladies.

School is Cool.....How fun is this line, and such great colors. I see a mini coming with this one maybe of all the school pictures from my daughter so far. I think i'll have to make two actually, one for the grandson so it's ready to go and momma will just have to put the pics in and journal.

The next one is My Lil' Monster!!! I actually have the pictures saved for this one! Once I saw then sneak on her blog for this I put pictures aside of the 1 year old grandson pulling his older brothers hair...(it's a cute pic)

Just Beachy } The Paperlife Printables :):)

Well Summer is underway....and I don't know about where you live, but it's been super hot here in the Quad Cities!! So I found a fun thing to do to stay cool...SCRAPBOOK!!! I have been creating some mini's lately so i'm sharing another one with you today. I was asked by the talented Amy Coon from The Paperlife to try out some of her FABULOUS new Paperlife Printables. You to can have these super fun papers just stop by The Paperlife blog and check it out ladies!!! So today i'm sharing something I created using the Just Beachy line!!! It is perfect for this time of year. I created this fun Little beach mini album....now if I could only take a trip to the beach.....well that would just be excellent! :)

So check out this super fun cover!!!

I had some chipboard laying around, and cut it into 4x5 pieces. You will need 4 pieces. I used ScraPefect's The Best Glue ever to place the paper on the chipboard. Talk about super easy....just place a strip of glue around all the edges and then smooth out with a paintbrush. That's all there is to it. I sat there and thought to myself how am I going to place the netting on this?? The fine tip from the Best Glue Ever worked perfect for this. I was able to place the glue right where I wanted it without any type of mess.

Check out those shells on the cover....I used the ScraPerfect Embellie Gellie to hold these while placing my glue on them before I placed them on the cover. Now here is the inside of the mini. Is this line and all the little fun elements just not the best!!!! I'm totally loving this page with the surf boards....it's just super cool!!!

The paper of choice for this line is some super fabby printable papers from The Paperlife (which just came out July 1). I mean seriously....loving the vintage look of this line. Way to knock it out of the park Amy!!! So in my book i'm thinking that ScraPerfect & The Paperlife totally rocked my beach album today.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a fabulous day!
